I'd take a Tony Bradley every single year.
That's not the concern. The concern is losing a guy to the NBA who flashed talent but was never a net-positive player.
Bradley was far enough along to meaningfully contribute to a championship team. Henson wasn't, but he could have left early anyway. We're fortunate he didn't.
I actually think it also might be that most analysts don't believe d00k will take Moore because when d00k starts really going after the elite 2019 seniors, they'll land most Of who they target and if they miss on 1 or two, then K will go to the bakers, Moores and bacots. He'll slow play them like crazy. If d00k somehow seems to miss on their main targets, and Moore is still in his recruitment, d00k will start racking up Moores CB picks...
I think Moore commits to Duke in the next 1-2 months for that fear alone.
I wish Roy would offer Gaffney, I'd prefer him over landing Moore. Leaky is going to play mostly SF, IMO, and I think Gaffney is more of a PF than a SF. He is supposedly a UNC fan but UofL, OSU, and Michigan have been on him pretty hard.
Ditto, I really like Gaffney.
Watch out for Izzo here, some think it's us or Mich St if/when both offer.

I agree, no problem with izzo whatsoever. Matter of fact, outside of Roy I would venture to say that m. State is is one of the only other "truly-clean" big-name schools. I am sure their is a handful more but not many. I also think izzo is easy for our fans to like because Roy owns him h2h!
I'd say Roy is pretty busy with his team right now but assuming Moore truly opens things up and extends his recruitment, I'd expect Roy to expand options over the next few months. He will almost certainly want to watch a few targets live this winter before offering. I'd guess Gaffney and Baker are a couple that may eventually earn offers.
Roy goes out recruiting after games, during the season... He is the hardest working coach out there. IMO we would have known by now by his actions.
I agree that he is a tireless worker but he will thoroughly vet a kid before he offers. Just saying it could take a little while before any new offers are handed out.

Honestly I would not even consider UNC if my "dream school" was Dook, but if that were to happen then I would say "sorry Roy my decision has been made. Should have shown me some love if you really cared. Bye"

Moore is doing his due diligence, as he should. He had the guts to tell Roy to his face, rare in this era. If he really wants d00k, that's where he should go.

Wendell's father says UNC is still the leader in his recruitment. He attended NC States late night on the same night as Duke's

With him wanting to take officials to other schools which is fine I would won't my child to if he didn't know where he wanted to go but Coach needs to go head and offer other kids and let the chips fall however they do.
The silent verbal is not disputed by any insiders. Why do you think Roy and the other coaches where so upset when he fIipped at LNWR? The coaches where furious and this was widely reported by insiders. Bottom line, I don't want the brat at UNC. Roy stopped recruiting other players at his position for 2 years and the kid reneged on his silent verbal that he gave prior to LNWR. My souces miss some and they get some right. Many posters on this site have sources and they don't get them 100% right. Even insiders get projections wrong. I hope he rots on Duke's bench or any othet team he plays for. If you screw Roy...screw you!
Yeah, that is why I am saying lets let this play out some. Keep in mind, the kid still has 2 seasons of high school ball to play, it would actually be extremely early for him to commit now. He should take the time to very clearly understand his options and make the best decision he can based on those options. If I were his dad, I would want him to maybe wait until after our season, to get a better feel for Little and if he will be 1&D or come back for a soph season, I would want to know if I have a open path to be the starting wing or would I be more likely to back up Little.
Get over yourself. It's a 16 year old kid making a huge decision. Quite frankly you're the one acting like a child, much the same way you did when you were throwing a total hissy fit when unc signed little.
Not saying you are wrong steat but I struggle to buy that much of anything could have really pissed Roy off during late night, just really to much good news for anything to piss him off. While I have heard rumors of silent verbals and of the kid jilting Roy last minute, I am not convinced the rumors are valid.
What I do know is I have not seen other 2019 wing offers go out since late night, I would think Roy would put out at least 2 very quickly if he was really pissed at the kid and was done with him. IN the kid's father's words, UNC still leads, I can not help but strongly doubt that had the kid really pissed Roy off that his father would say that we still lead for him. And considering that it is still EXTREMELY early for any 2019 kid to commit AND the fact we have Little coming in 2018 who may be a 1&D but who really knows if he will be? I think it would be wise for the kid to make sure he understands all his options and I would be surprised if Roy would be upset at a kid for doing so.
Again, IDK, you may be right, just saying to me it doesn't seem to add up as Roy being pissed and moving on.

Check yourself at the door Oh Great One. My rant was "before" UNC received a commitment from Little. Now, that he is on board I will support him. If you find a post where I dissed him after the commitment you may have a valid point. I'll hang up and listen. If Wendell "formally' commits to Roy, I will support him. But until that happens, he will remain on my sh$!@t list.

I have no problem with the entire scenario no matter how it went down! I hate puke with a passion and I hate ratty even more, BUT "Silent Verbals" aren't worth the paper they are printed on! Roy learned after the Roe debacle that if the kid didn't sign on the dotted...he didn't commit! If the kid wants to check out his dream school or just enjoy the process, who am I to judge? If Roy is angry and feels jilted; I would be disappointed in Moore too, but I still would not begrudge him his right to change his mind. I respect the fact that he told Roy Man-to-Man and didn't have Daddy do it; Momma tweet about it; or prove himself the ultimate beyotch like Roe!
