And met this board's own prlyles and visited his store. I had to be in Elkin for a conference and since I had been meaning to visit the store since he posted about it back around Christmas, I stopped in during a break. It's really a neat store--mostly food and ingredients. I picked up a few things and spoke briefly with him about the town and his store. Even met some of his family working there.

If you're ever up around Elkin, it's worth a stop by. You won't find Crystal Pepsi or Lucky Charms, but if you like fresh or less-processed foods, they've got quite a bit. His town's a lot like mine, trying to reinvent itself after a lot of the manufacturing moved out.

Very cool.

Weird we haven't heard from @prlyles since your meetup, though.

Good to meet you Saturday. We are hoping to become a major trail town to go along with our wineries. How long have you been active in the MST?

How did that introduction go? It's always weird when you meet someone from the board.

"hey, this is WhatTheHeel . . . I'm looking for P.R. Lyles?"

Yeah, he seems like a decent dude which is probably why he doesn't poast as much as some of the others on here.
Mostly I am not at the computer as much as a lot of the board members. The more I post/poast, the more I need to come back and check for replies and see if anyone gave me a like--barring GSD, of course.

Since early 2014. I directed a trail race that raised money for the MST. We raised over $20,000 the first three years and now I've handed the reins off to someone else, but I still will be involved in the event. It's an awesome project and I love the way Elkin has embraced it.

Yep, kind of like that except I said I was also on the message board before giving my username. I don't think he recognized the username, which goes back to what RH said.

I guess it's possible I've met someone else from here and not even realized it.

You've seen @TarHeelNation11 before. He's that guy who's been looking in your window.
