OU fans and coaches used to talk about Texas under Mack always being soft, even when they had a bunch of star recruits on defense. That's why he won only 2 Big 12 championships even though his team was ranked the #1 recruiting class in the Big 12 almost every year and was ranked #1 nationally at least twice while Mack was UT HC. Mr soft February indeed.
