I'd be willing to bet you can't find one post where @Archer2, @DSouthr or @gunslingerdick has said Roy is overrated. Seriously I'll bet you can't even find one.
You said the people saying Smart was overrated said Roy was too. Those three were saying he was overrated. Are you trying to say you meant people other than the people saying it in this thread? That would seem kinda odd that you would come to a thread where people were saying he was overrated, but were talking about other people. I'll give you that out if you want it though. So you can't read either. Hmm...
Go back and read what I said. Please quote where I mention the people you named. Surely my post was directly aimed at those specific people and no one else. Right?
Nice rock bro. Try not to be so sensitive next time.
I don't post a lot but I do read most everything.
Maybe because they don't think he's overrated.I'd be willing to bet you can't find one post where @Archer2, @DSouthr or @gunslingerdick has said Roy is overrated. Seriously I'll bet you can't even find one.
When Roy took over at KU, one of the most prominent high level D1 programs in the country, he had zero experience as a head coach. And to those who say that was 30 years ago or that it was 56 years ago that Dean did the same thing, I say that has no bearing whatsoever on Hubert today. If you can coach, you can coach. Period. Can Hubert coach? We don't know for sure. But I think we're going to find out because I think the plan is to have him replace Roy.Whoever replaces Roy when the time comes needs to have successful YEARS as a D1 high level coach. Hubert needs to get out on his own and get that done if he wants to truly qualify for the job, same as Roy did. Shaka has a number of positives, smart, young, charismatic, well-spoken, decent success at a lower level of D1 as an HC. But he still needs to prove he can win at a high rate in a tougher conference. He has that chance at Texas.
I sure don't. In fact, just the opposite.Maybe because they don't think he's overrated.

Even without some head coaching experience?Hubert will get the job.
I know I know not the same but he does coach our JV team. So he does have some head coaching experience.
Does the guy who is scheduled to replace Boeheim have head coaching experience?
