What is wrong with Luke Maye?

Luke is the very last person I would choose to nitpick right now. He is the only person who has far exceeded expectations this year.

While this is true, any UNC player is open to the nitpicking after a loss, especially the home court kind . .

It's kinda what this board does . .

I think he should start shooting FTs from the top of the circle, not the line.

I'm not worried about Luke. He's our most consistently good player.

I would ask what's with Berry? Does he have a mid-range shot? He's either shooting a deep three or forcing a drive to the basket. And does he know what a pass is? |And he camps out in the lane on defense like he's Wilt Chamberlain! Is it time to give Felton more PT?

I said on the game thread - he should come off a screen and have Theo pass to him.

How about him fading away or a taking stepback J off of one dribble.

All kidding aside, I do expect Luke to make an adjustment to it, it is definitely bothering him that he is not converting them, he is a kid who talks about how he gets frustrated when he doesn't get the right spin.rotation on a shot that he makes and wants to get back in the gym to make those adjustments. If I had to guess, I would say that Luke is in the gym right now or will be later, working at his stroke from the line, that is just who he is.

He did say in his presser that he needs to improve his mindset when he goes to the line, he is able to make the second because he focuses a little better, I like what a few of you have said about him finding more of a set routine to relax him and be more consistent leading up to the shot. We can see it when he plays that he is at his best when he is moving, is able to pick his spots and get into a rhythm, he needs to find that same rhythm from the line and he will start improving. If we have learned anything about Luke it is that he is always working on his game and this is definitely an area that with more and more reps he will get better at.
