Our insiders don't think we lead for either. We're even with Duke for Knox and probably behind both UT and UK for PJ. Seems unlikely to swing both.

Should be no need for Knox to play the 4 at Duke. Even if both Giles and Bolden go pro, Jeter and DeLaurier should be back, along with Vrank and Robinson, plus whoever they get in the 2017 class.First, I think Knox ends up at duke, but that does create a log jam for Trent at the 2 when you consider Jackson/Kennard/O'Conell are all 2 guards and duke is looking to add a PG from 2017. If you add Knox at the wing then all the sudden you have 3 guys already competing for 2 guard time and what if Allen does not wow this season and has to come back? Even if Jackson goes one & done you still have Kennard/Occonnell. Could they move kennard to the 3, maybe but that isn't where he needs to be, 2 very respected talents at the 2 is a problem for a 5 star looking to start and show the NBA he is ready to play now.
If duke recruits Knox as a 4, then he will play elsewhere, the kid is solid that he is a wing and wing only. Sure, he could back up the 4 at times but he is not taking a starting 4 spot and by the way, Carter at duke would be their starting 4 with Bolton at the 5.
Well, as I have said, I see kenny as our starting 2 this coming season at some point (not likely game one but could be) and I think it is going to hard to take him out as a starter once he gets his confidence. I do think Justin is gone after this season opening the door for Theo to start and I think by necessity that moves BRob over to the wing to back Theo up. When Theo is done that opens the door for Zion or Hamilton to go head to head with BRob for that starter spot at the wing.
they're headed his way!!..https://www.sny.tv/college-recruiti...c-state-coming-to-see-pj-washington/199836258

O'Connell could probably back up Knox and they also have White. Sure, White is low-ranked, but if we are counting on low-ranked players as they develop, it's possible that could happen at Duke, as well. Not K's style, but you never know.
My guess is that Knox wants to be sure Tatum is OAD. If Tatum is good but needs an extra year to turn the corner (think Henson), where does that leave Knox as a frosh with Tatum back? I doubt he wants to play in anyone else's shadow.

So who ya think Dook will sign? That would be something if they whiffed on Trent and Carter. Not sure what would make me crap my pants more - us signing Knox and Washington, or Dook missing out on the package deal of Trent Jr and Carter.
As far as Knox potentially playing the 4 at Dook, I would just look at their last two 4's, Ingram and Winslow. They are prototypical 3's in college, but K likes to stretch defenses with smaller, more skilled 4's. I don't think it will matter, though, cuz I don't think he ends up in Durham anyway.
