I still can't believe the American people voted this loser into office....
I still can't believe the American people voted this loser into office....
Sadly, it was because the alternative to Trump wasn't a whole lot better, and the SCOTUS nominee meant more to the republicans than it did to the dems.
I still can't believe the American people voted this loser into office....
Aaaaand, you lost me.... his attempts to get back to a law abiding society....
Seriously? We are going to make a huge deal out of a five second clip with no context? I could do that for every president that's ever been on film. If you're going to attack him, attack him for the stupid shit he has done. There is plenty to choose from, but this isn't one of them.
Aaaaand, you lost me.
Or if we had nominated someone else out of the 18 we had to pick from.wouldnt have happened if the snowflakes hadnt nominated the worst candidate in US history.
The fact that there were 18 was the problem. The support was split between too many people and the republicans didn't pick one or two to throw their support behind. Had they narrowed the field earlier and supported a candidate then Trump might not have won the nomination.Or if we had nominated someone else out of the 18 we had to pick from.
Fair enough. I'll amend to say "his public vocal support of law enforcement officers".
You are right in that there is no context. I suppose it's possible that trump and the other dude were just goofing with each other?Seriously? Maybe, but honestly in the grand scheme of things I don't see what the big deal is. If we are making a list of stupid things that he has done I would put that moment at 4,879. It is crazy how everything the guy does ends up being some kind of breaking news. I'm just waiting for the NYT to come out with a story detailing the size and shape of his daily shit. You are right in that there is no context. Give him time... he'll probably tweet that himself. He loves compensating for his tiny hands.I'm just waiting for the NYT to come out with a story detailing the size and shape of his daily shit.
But, it's childish entertainment.
No one here will really be that negatively affected by what he does as president.Well, I do know a bunch of grown ass men who voted Looney Tunes as the best TV Show ever. So that may not be a bad thing w this group here.
No one here will really be that negatively affected by what he does as president.
It's a five second video with no context that is being put up as breaking news by the media. I guess I just don't understand what the big deal is. Worst case scenario he grabbed his arm and moved him out of the way to get in front of him. So what? Is that really worth dozens of articles and news stories? A politician body slammed a reporter yesterday and that's not getting half the coverage this is. Covering all of these stupid little things when there are far bigger issues with him just makes the media look like it is on a mission to destroy him instead of just covering the news.I didn't start the thread because I thought what he did was earth-shattering. It's not. It's a subtle, caught-you-in-the-act example of what an insecure putz he truly is.
I agree with all of this except for him wanting to win. I honestly think he didn't expect to win and didn't want to win, but his ego wouldn't allow him to drop out. Quitting wasn't an option for him.If you're a "conservative" you'll make excuses and love whatever he does. If you're not, then everything he does will reinforce your dislike for him. He's entertaining above all. But, it's childish entertainment. The guy had no business being president. He ran on a lark, out of spite. He is clever and he is very good at marketing... especially himself. It worked. he wanted to WIN the election. He has very little understanding or interest in what it's going to actually take to BE the president. That's why he still holds rallies. He loves the adulation and praise he got from those. But, being president means being able to be publicly disliked... a lot. And, he does NOT have the ego for that.
Strongly, STRONGLY disagree! That man absolutely WANTED TO WIN THE ELECTION! That's why he won it. He fervently wanted to win that election. He absolutely, unequivocally wanted to win. What he didn't really want was to actually BE the president. There's a distinct separation there. We could, in a way, actually blame Obama for this. If he'd kept his trap shut at that dinner, this could have been avoided.I honestly think he didn't expect to win and didn't want to win, but his ego wouldn't allow him to drop out. Quitting wasn't an option for him.
Since when are people concerned with the severity of the situations and conditions in terms of what they focus on? It's much, much easier to get bent out of shape over little things. I don't really care about him doing this. And, you can justify it with "we don't know, maybe he..." in a back and forth. It's possible that there's some other reason for his action here. It certainly doesn't appear very flattering, and that's what makes headlines now! It's a five second video with no context that is being put up as breaking news by the media. I'm not trying to justify it, I'm just saying I don't really care because it seems trivial to me. The objective of the clip was to make Trump look like an ass. He's done things that are actually important that make him look like an ass. I just don't see this as important. It reminds me of when there was an uproar about Obama killing a fly. It's meaningless.Since when are people concerned with the severity of the situations and conditions in terms of what they focus on? It's much, much easier to get bent out of shape over little things. Important is relative. I think it's actually pretty rare to see someone act like this much of a child in this kind of situation where foreign leaders are gathered together. He's like Scut Farkus. His hair even reminds me of Scut's hat.I'm not trying to justify it, I'm just saying I don't really care because it seems trivial to me. The objective of the clip was to make Trump look like an ass. I guess it's just not as important to me because of all of the other things that he has done. It's just something I would expect from him. If someone like Bush or Carter did it I would find it more important, because it would be totally out of character for them. But like you said, it's all relative.Important is relative. You're right, it would be out of character for any of them. You'd think that it should dawn on most anyone that it's not behavior that a president should exhibit. Pushing people out of the way so you are the "focus" is just being an asshole. Trump is never out-of-character. He's a figurehead and I doubt that everyone is pleased with the image of our country that he portrays.I guess it's just not as important to me because of all of the other things that he has done. Would that 'Nut job' FBI Director Comey be included in this statement . . ?
well you and our president have something in common. He's entertaining above all. But, it's childish entertainment.
I think if more people realized how much fun it would be to watch everyone get their undies in a bundle over Trump - more people would have voted for him.
Reading/Listening to people make the most mundane things he does into a crisis of epic proportions is truly entertainment. We can only hope the next president can turn as many people in raving lunatics for our enjoyment.
Love seeing the libtards and press losing their feeble minds every fooking day.So true.
looks to me like Trump having a good time goofing on those guys...but by all means continue on your circle jerk.
