I really wonder how moo , dook , UK etc. etc etc. would hold up under a Wainstein type investigation?

Well first off the NCAA would be stone walled at every imaginable point in the process. No one would offer them anything, anything the NCAA or any investigator would find would come out of their efforts because those schools would give them no help what so ever.
duke hides behind its being a private school like a cloak of invisibility and I seriously doubt a single employee of any of those schools would utter a single word. They would NEVER in a million years open up totally as UNC did, way to many skeletons in their closets that will NEVER see the light of day. The sports media considers Ky and duke to be golden and I don't see the national media turning on them like they did us. And moo, it is kinda like who really cares anyway, taking them down would be like taking down a D-2 program, not worth much more than a couple sentences on the back page of the sports section, who really cares.
there are VERY few schools that could withstand the level of scrutiny we were subjected to over such a lengthy time span without being eviscerated. i'm damm PROUD to be a tar heel!!!!!!!!!
When you ask about comments made on NCAA decision are referring to the ones made by those knowledge of the facts or just the public perceptions?

Because that's his whole shtick. Post something anti-UNC but try to poorly disguise it with some backhanded compliments, and then get all up in arms when people call him out on it.
That crap got old awhile ago, IMO.
JC, I understand man, I know you do not want personal bad things to come my way and you know I don't want them for you either. But man this is sports, fun stuff, thou we may get to serious about it at times in the end it is still just a game and a game neither you nor I have any control over or input in to. When I think of Mikey and shun and many others with such difficult health issues, I realize this sports stuff is fun but is fantasy, it is important as a distraction, if you an opinionated cuss like me it is fun to go back & forth with opinions and get in to the occasional spirited debate but that gets over the line at times.
Point is JC, as much as I value you as a friend, same as my bud ken the dukie, I would LOVE both your teams to bomb out next season and would totally enjoy nailing you guys about it. When duke beat my Heels this season, I had to spend 4hrs a day for that week in a car with ken, sat next to him in a class 6hrs a day, he freakin drilled me and he totally enjoyed it, I took it knowing my day would come and it didn't effect our friendship in the least, well a couple times I did get a lil short with him because enough already LOL. It is kinda the same with you man, I wish you no personal harm, I wish nothing but great things for you but I hope your Kitty Kats lose and lose often! LOL And I know JC, not gonna find you not exactly finding you some joy when my Heels lose, and that is fine with me, it is as I would expect it to be. It doesn't mean we are not buds but buds love to have fun at times at their buds expense over things that in the grand scheme of things matter little to our day to day lives.
I hate Ky, not the state but the program, I hate Ky fans, not individually but collectively, I hate in the sports version of hatin, that is not real hate, it is just my side vs your side. I wish no real harm on anyone just because they love a sports team that I do not. Real hate is not common for me and is a thing I try not to live within. I don't live a life with hate or at least I try not to allow hate to drive my actions. But being a competitive cuss, I long ago learned that sports hate is not real hate, it is nothing more than the expression of that competitive nature being played out. I gurantee ya, I am pretty hated in Ky fan circles and I actually enjoy that but I know it isn't real hate, if someone really hates me for what I say on a forum like this then they have very serious problems that are a danger to everyone around them and need serious help. You can't hate someone without knowing them and those folks do not know me.
