Who will be the next 2018 commit?

I read on Inside Carolina that Zion is planning on making his decision before his senior season. He still has Carolina in the mix and talks about how Coby and Leaky keep on pushing him this way. Do you think this is a good sign for us?

Also read on Keeping it Heel that Romeo Langford likes the way we play and also appreciated that Roy went to visit him three days after the Natty!!! Do you think we have a better chance to land him than Zion? Will the Roy streak after National Championships continue?

It seems Nassir Little is a Tarheel fan, is planning on visiting soon and would be a great fit for us. When do you see this offer coming, from what I'm hearing it appears soon.

Is Jairus Hamilton still leaning towards us? From what I saw which was about a month back it seems that he really enjoyed the NC State visit. Does Cam's decision to stay after this year affect his or is he just leaning toward State because he sees himself as the primary offensive focus?

Jaylen Hoard is another NC kid who would be great to pickup. His stock seems to continue to rise and he's teammates with Leaky and Coby and same school as Theo. Is he going to also receive an offer during this period?

I'll take a stab at some of these and give my opinions...

I actually just asked something similar to our experts on the premi board. Roy is watching Zion a ton, yet all of us feel he won't be ours simply because of our track record with these monster NBA ready recruits. I still think it's a HUGE long shot, but it appears there's at least a shot.

Also a real good question...I'm in the minority around here that feel we're the favorites right now for Langford. He speaks VERY highly of us (aside from the normal stuff all recruits say) and Roy has a track record of commits from visits right after he wins the natty. I say we have a much better shot at him than Zion.

Rumor is that the offer will happen in the next 3 weeks.

Everything you read now says State has the edge ever since Keatts. I don't think Cam has much to do with Hamilton, but I could be wrong. Hamilton has had this offer to sit on for a while, if he isn't sure by now, not sure he ever will be.

A lot of people think he's a lock to Wake at this point. If we offer, it could be that he's told Roy that it's not the case. I think an offer would be telling that we have a very real shot.

Shittu and Keldon Johnson are probably two targets that are also considered to be thinking about UNC for 2018. Keep in mind with White, Black, and the addition of Cam...we probably only have 1 more scholly for 2018-19.

Yeah, I have to say that I feel the same way about Jairus at this point. Keldon Johnson is also interesting, he's come into the conversation recently. What's the word on him and who else is targeting him?
