Will the “Iron Five” be helped from injuries and fatigue this season?

Most of what we saw with Leaky and Puff in together had them playing at he 3 and 4, both to me are 3/4 type of players but I do agree Puff could play some 2 if needed. Now with Trimble backing up both the 1 and 2, I hope we would not need Puff or Leaky playing much at all at the 2 (if we have to go deeper than Trimble we have Dunn).

Now if you really want to go jumbo big, I do not want to see this rotation, put Leaky at the point, Puff at the 2 Washington at the 3 (or Nickel), Nance at the 4, and Bacot the 5, shortest player on the court would be 6'8".

Dtodd mentioned: "Joel often had to do that as well under 10, but he would pinball his way into the paint and get one up to the rim more then take the jumper, then our glass work would often act as the best offense for those trips."

Wanted to mention 2 thoughts on that quote from Todd, first, being fair Joel was playing with 2 more traditional big men in Roy's preferred style where at times our best offense was getting the ball up and having our bigs go get the rebound and stick it back. The more stretch the 4 style takes away the just get it up and we will rebound it more than under Roy.

My other thought on that quote was that going "Iron man 5" last season I think at times hindered our initiating our offense in the half court to often. Guys find spots to take a breath and there were times we were slow getting in to our offense because guys needed a second to catch their breath. That is harder to do now days on defense because are banging off multiple screens and you are having to chase so much, even the big guys. Going with a deep and solid bench should really help this and force the tired legs on the other team doubling up our advantage.
