Wade is a first-rate basketball mind. That's why he was Amaker's first hire at Harvard and then Smart's first hire at VCU. That VCU run to the FF would not have happened without Wade.

regardless of his past he's one of the best pure coaches in the country. Moo showing they are committed to winning by going out and getting the best available coach. Meanwhile were hand holding our college gameday anchor that got hand picked without us pursuing any serious candidates
Let's see if Clemson gives him a properly rude welcome in this afternoon's McNeese-Clemson matchup.
The good news is he'll hop to a better job if he gets momentum there, and he likely will get momentum there in this environment and with the ACC being awful. In this era having anything less than the best coach you think you can possibly hire is inexcusable. They have to be able to team build quickly and strategize for new makeup every season, neither of which have yet shown to be HD's strengths.
Hell, friggin texas just canned their coach aftert losing last night.

Or maybe State will decide to throw money at the problem - like we're doing - and some coach (possibly Wade) will decide to build his personal legacy there.
Then again, if you are willing to throw money at the problem, why didn't you do that with Keatts or maybe Sendek?
