So in Memphis area they have tightened up on kids moving or transferring from one school district to another, so in this mess we have Wiseman, who we have been recruiting for '19, but he has been suspended from basketball activities due to violation of some "transfer" rules.

Transfers, which are usually star athletes being "recruited" by another HS is a big problem nationwide, although some states have put rules in place to deal with it.
I believe it is a Tennessee high school rule that is holding him out. Something about not being able to transfer to a school that has a coach that the player previously played for. There is a certain timeframe that must elapse before player and coach can be at the same school.
Yeah, the kids moving district to district or schools is very common, kid here locally just went from a good public to a local prep school...sure seems okay there but not within your own public county or city schools.

While I fully support free transferring of college kids, I think HS students should have to stay put if their parents don't move! This does not include private schools, but you should not be able to shop public schools anywhere in the country. If the kid does not enjoy the coaching style or isn't playing enough or hates losing, well.....welcome to the real world and work to better the situation!

Im haering that not only this kid a lock for Kentucky like Vernan Cary is a lock for Miami but he the next coming of mixtur between Anthony Davis & dmarcus cusins but I cant remeber were I read that and he the real deal but how com all the good bigs go to kentucky & duuk now adays when Unc is known for using bigs better then any body because wiseman or cary would be crazy good on our sqwuad
I don't think Carey is a lock for Miami......especially after the FBI investigation.
Wiseman played in Nashville for Ensworth against my son and his McCallie squad. We split home and home against him. He is raw. Has the physical tools to be special but is very foul prone. Leaves his feet on defense when he does not need too as he is 6ft 10-11 ish and very long armed. He has transferred to Memphis to play for powerful Memphis East. Interesting that his opponents are trying to deny this kid chance to play this season. FYI in gym both games was the wee little one Shaka Smart stirring with his family.
We now have a clear shot to state with only Darius Garland and Brentwood standing in the way. Looks like a repeat of last years state championship game already early this season with the removal of Wiseman from the league
Off to a good start with Trip Butler leading McCallie to season opening victory. 29 points on 6-7 from 3 and 11-12 from floor and 1-1 from line.
