Think Justin is a big cog in the success of this team. Was great to see the box score and it appeared as if he broke out of his funk.
As poorly as it sounds like everyone played, he played that well. I am waiting for Marcus to get back and see what we look like with our full complement of players.
We always seem to not look our best in the beginning of the year without everything implemented and the odd erratic substitution patterns. Gotta remember that Roy does this every year to make sure everyone gets playing time. Great experience and recruiting tool to be able to say that you will get playing time, just look at my past track record.
I did however expect to see this team come out of the gate a little quicker due to experience.
I have read quite a bit about zones and other fixes to our defense.
In my opinion, it all comes down to dribble penetration. That is providing open looks and foul trouble for the bigs. I know it seems simple, but if they can come up with a solution for that, I believe the other issues will melt away.
I am aware that it is easier said than done. I do believe that Joel, Nate and Theo have the quickness though to be able to handle that.
