High is not starting as a freshman. Washington has played exclusively at Center so far, and I don't expect that to change. We will have some attrition after the season, so some of the players you have listed will not be here. If Puff Johnson is healthy there is no way he will ever be 3rd string.PG Davis, Cadeau

Way too early to tell. Who will turn pro? Who will transfer? Will we add a big man transfer? Will enough guards leave for Cadeau to want to reclass to 2023?Who will we have.? Who starts, where?
Was going to post similar… Hubert tried 5-out and it didn’t work, though maybe that was to do with personnel…Way too early to tell. Who will turn pro? Who will transfer? Will we add a big man transfer? Will enough guards leave for Cadeau to want to reclass to 2023?
What I can tell you is that Hubert has recently been fond of these two lineups:
RJ-Caleb-Trimble
RJ-Caleb-Dunn
So 3 guard lineups, even 3 point guard lineups, are a possibility moving forward.
Agee, I have been saying since Cadeau verbal seemed likely, that I think 3 guard lineups could be the norm for a few years.Way too early to tell. Who will turn pro? Who will transfer? Will we add a big man transfer? Will enough guards leave for Cadeau to want to reclass to 2023?

I like that you included all those guys. Your roster would be plausible next year if Cadeau reclassifies. Although I will be surprised if Caleb and Armando are still around. But with NIL, you never know.PG Davis, Cadeau

It's hard to see Puff muscling up enough to handle PF. But I can see Nickel doing that. He's already listed at 220 - 20 more than Puff.Initially i had puff at the 4. Didn't like the look of the lineup though.
Mainly because Cadeau is a pure point guard who will only be here one season, while Trimble is a player that Coach Davis has been comfortable playing many positions including SF in the 3 guard lineups.Cadeau is never going to be behind Trimble.
Hubert's been playing 6'3" Trimble at SF. You'll be seeing some short lineups going forward.Do we risk getting too short as a team? A lot of our replacements are an inch or 2 shorter than the guys who are leaving.
Bacot has no chance of being here in 2024.. next year would be his 5th year. No way Love returns for year 5. Davis might.PG Davis, Cadeau

Next year I assume our back court will beTrimble may leave--dont count your chickens...he may see himself as a PG...one year at a time for everybody til you see 'em in uniform
Simply put......our backcourt will be better next season with those 4 names.Next year I assume our back court will be
SR - Davis - 6'0 175
SO - Trimble - 6'3 192
FR - Wilcher - 6'4 185
JR - Dunn - 6'5 190
I'm not sure who plays where, but it sounds good to me.
Caleb has that extra gear, inconsistent though it may be, but I think Wilcher has it, too. Still, it will be hard for a freshman to step into a star junior's shoes. We won't know about chemistry until we see him play, but if he doesn't think he should be a PG, that could be an improvement.
Yeah but what if Caleb comes back? Last year we lost guys to the portal and frankly, didn't exactly break my heart that they did. But I see 2 guys now that look to me like they will be our next losses to the portal and I hate thinking we will lose them, they are room mates, Styles and Dunn. If Caleb comes back, goodbye to those 2. If Caleb does leave then that 4th back court spot, that gets limited minutes, is there for Dunn next season but in his senior season we now have Cadeau to mix in if he reclasses, he comes to 23 if Caleb or RJ leave after this season. I agree Dunn needs more PT, he really seems to have put in the off season work and was looking really solid before that wrist got hurt. I think he is to talented, Styles as well, to just get scrap minutes when they could go elsewhere and likely start. It is one of those really hard choice deals.Next year I assume our back court will be

Better, IDK, Caleb is special, hard for me to say we will be better without him. I would say the offense would flow better because Caleb can be a ball stopper, has been to often over his UNC career. The offense has flowed better in the last 4 games but Caleb is looking to pass the ball more as of late. Thing with Caleb is he is always a guy I suspect will revert to the way he payed the first 2 years on a dime when he is not comfortable. RJ has some of that to, my hope is these last 4 games has taught them something that they will not forget and be able to build on rather than regress from. But you know the nature of this team, kinda last game not really indicating what to expect in the next game and out of the blue the ball again begins to be dominated by Caleb and RJ.Simply put......our backcourt will be better next season with those 4 names.
Need Bacot back with Nickel, Washington and Puff knocking down jumpers.
My comment, though it seems is about Caleb.......(Some is) is more about the other 3 returning guys. Davis would be a 4th year starter. Trimble will be a kid who's offense will get better each year he plays and Dunn will breakout if we can get him in that 15-20 min range. Dunn is truely a 2 way player in my opinion, just needs reps. Then you throw in Wilcher, who reminds me of Jaiden Ivy. Wilcher will be a downhill player that can play 1-3 positions, and I think he will be more consistent than what Love was as a Freshman or Sophomore. High end Caleb, will be hard to match, but the consistency from the other 4 players plus their natural improvements, make me think our backcourt will be better.Better, IDK, Caleb is special, hard for me to say we will be better without him. But with the game on the line and UNC needs a huge shot, it is sure nice to have Caleb Love available to take it !!!
