har. In my case, when I got down to the last try there was no other choice that I could see but the winner. The ones I hate are when you get to the last try and there are still half a dozen words that night work. I'm guessing you had several to choose from on that last try and you chose well. In any case I like that you were building toward the word much the same as I was and ended up with the same result..
eta....lol, I just realized that @prlyles went down the same path.

I am LMAO. I scored on a desperation word that was the only one I could come up with but thought they would never use. After quite a while I gave up trying to find other words and thought this one might at least get me a clue. Bingo!

aaaaargh! This one pisses me off hugely because first of all, completely BS word; and the fact that I got four letters on the second word and couldn't put them together from there, although I would have bet the farm that my third try was the winner. It HAD to be. And I had to walk away frustrated from it last night after puzzling over it for a too long time, go to bed, and come back this morning to get that one.
My vocab isn't centered around geekspeak.

Yep this was one of those BS words that I wouldn't normally use in regular conversation. Plus I did my too often mindless act of placing the same letter in the wrong slot twice while struggling to come up with the word.
I'm pretty sure there's a gremlin in there changing things up as you go along.

it would be cool if they would add a feature that lets you display your remote words with a single keystroke. I like trying to figure out what words fellow players used.
I'm going to break my own protocol and reveal that I started with RAISE; and for my second, don't axe me why but I went with what I normally do...CHOKE.
I can never remember the words and I have to go back to the game to retrieve them, even just hours later.. They go away after a day (I'm not signing up for an account that saves them) so I have to do this while they are still available. I'm volunteering this, don't feel obligated to reciprocate.
But what were your words. You too @prlyles. Out with it. Just kidding, of course. You don't have to uncover your strategeries...I WILL steal them.
well, OK then. I had to look that up. I prolly won't be stealing that one. Maybe 'stale' but maybe not that either.
raise/arise is my second go-to word, behind adieu. We both then needed an 'O' word, but you 'chose' better than me I guess...ha ha.
Consider your affability payment enough for 'adieu'. And I'm always happy to see any one of us stick it to the game, even when I don't.
'Ozone' in four is outstanding...a seldom seen 'Z', and a double vowel. I felt lucky to have not bombed out altogether.
