As a take off of the Best Burger thread, what is the best BBQ in the state? I'm going with Skylight in Ayden or Wilber's in Goldsboro.

I love BBQ and in Greensboro , there is a place in the "Hood" that I like called Boss Hogs !
I would not recommend that you go there on the weekend or after dark though ! The neighborhood is bad , really bad , Greensboro Police should have a sub station right there to save gas and time. Wifey says Country BBQ on Wendover in Greensboro is really good too. I know they have great tenderloin biscuits at Country also.

The OP didn't specify what state. In VA, here are the best I've patronized.

Three Little Pigs
http://threelilpigsbbq.com/ - the owner is a BIG Tar Heel fan, originally from NC.
Paulie's Pig Out
https://pauliespigout.com/ - On Afton Mountain, in the middle of no where. Bangin' cue.

The Silver Pig
http://www.silverpigbbq.com/ - the only gripe I have about this hole in the wall spot is that they chop the meat a little too fine for me. I prefer bigger chuncks/strands. But the sauce is special here.

And then lastly, my buddy used to own a butcher shop (Bedford Avenue Meat Shop). Some of you might remember I told the story of a friend of mine that died from a bizarre heart problem almost 3 years ago. He made the best BBQ I'd ever had. I miss my friend.

What kind of BBQ do they make in VA?

I don’t recall. It was located on 74, near the Cleveland Mall. Is one better than the other?

Also, what’s the story here? Two brothers that couldn’t get along so they opened separate bbq joints?

Not sure of the story but I like the other one better, try it next time you are in town.
