there is a reason why Hood leads the NCAA with 4.1 yards per carry AFTER CONTACT...

between UGa and UNC, clearly one should be afraid of the other's ground game...

but, hey, Michel came in 10th on that yards after contact list, so ya' got that goin' for ya'...

if Ga. Southern gashed you for 233 yards last year and you now have serious questions about experience on the D-line with this year's team, this could be fun...

Chubb going off is one of my concerns for this game, but I don't see GA having the defense to contain our numerous offensive weapons. If we can get a few stops, maybe a turnover or two, then I think we take it.

Georgia Southern runs the triple option so that 233 number is misleading.

Not the same Staff ace, Kirby is a D specialist. We fired the guy who allowed that to happen.

Same players for the most part though, ace. Also, our offense is better than any you faced last season, ace.

I'm giving UGA all kinds of credit and you still have to come over here and act like an asshole on your first post? Nice.
Not at all, major turnover on D line, this is not your Mark Richt Dawgs on the field.
Dawgs 31-17

I'd take your D-Line over ours every day of the week and twice on Saturday.

The good thing for Carolina is a lot of our passing game relies on quick passes, which is a good way to help minimize DLine pressure.

True, but our D strength is our DB's and our LB's, speed and physical

They are his players that he and his staff recruited. You show a lot of disrespect for Mark Richt. I know he never won the big one but he's a pretty good coach at a minimum. Most likely Alabama will still kick your butts year in and year out if you get the chance to play them at all, and you guys get rid of Smart too down the road....:)

And Michel accomplished his yac versus SEC competition but point taken. Kirby's installed the 3-4. We're very solid with the starting front seven and we also return anyone and his brother in the secondary. Of course your offense plays fast so that means rotating the Dlinemen and that's where trouble could ensue. 5 of our next 6 in the 2-3 deep are freshmen.....the other is a sophomore. Huge talent and no experience. Carter, Clark, and Marshall have impressed. (3rd string) All will play.

Should be a great game! I think both sides have question marks and predicting one way or the other is just stupid at this point.

I'm interested in this. You guys are installing a brand new, complex defensive scheme and your front 7 is pretty inexperienced as it is. Do you expect the defense to come out firing on all cylinders in the first game under Kirby? Our offense will be better than any offense you played last year other than Bama and possibly Tenn.

No we didn't install a brand new defense. We installed Kirby's 3-4. Pruitt ran the 3-4 as well. So there's that. Our starters are solid with ample experience. Since Kirby is a defensive coach yes we do expect the defense to be firing on all cylinders and nothing short there of. We expect good things from the starting 11 especially the secondary which was top ranked last season. Get your #2 guy ready......Trubisky is going to get hurt.

I'm sure Mitch is skurred.

I know I am.

Think I'll go kick my neighbor's bulldog. Never liked that ugly thing anyway.

Interesting. I think you're expectations may be a little high but to each their own. Rarely do teams perform perfectly in their first game under a new coach, especially when it's his first game ever as a new head coach. But maybe you are right maybe they will have all the calls and coverages and assignments down perfectly and there won't be any miscommunication or misunderstanding from the coaching staff at all.

Bwahaha, GaSo. doesn't pass, so you knew what was coming and they still gashed you for 233...

are any of you actually so stupid that you believe Hood, with his speed and his 635 lb. squat, wouldn't start for GaSo.?

didn't think so...

and you won't have the advantage of knowing "these guys never pass" which will only make Hood more effective...

and you're in the SEC, right? so are Bama's players gonna' line up to stop Hood?

yeah, didn't think that would happen, either...

Kirby got a look at this kind of offense in the title game and if Saban hadn't stolen an extra possession from Dabo with that onside kick he may not have beaten them, and that with Bama's defense...

but on a D-line, of which 8 of 9 are Fr or So, with one Jr, the Dawgs are suddenly gonna' give ole Kirby the magic he needs to do what he did not actually accomplish before with that Tide D...

what are they putting in the water in Athens?

to my THI brothers, not a big fan of posts like these but when clowns come into your house and wipe their butts on the curtains...

1st time Dawg post on this site- You best talk all that shit for the next 3 days cause after the game you will be calling him Mr. Chubb. You guys are living in a fantasy land if you think you are going to come to ATL and beat the Dawgs. What you think ACE!!!!!!!

Yawn. Of course no one knows until game time, and no doubt Chubb is a great RB, but one guy doesn't make a team. I doubt your defense will be better than Clemson's last season, especially beginning of the year. There is a good chance our offense will be as good, even starting out.

If that's the case, we hang 45-50 on you, and Chubb could run for 300 yards and you still lose.

Your boy started the shit talking first. I mimicked him and used "ace" in my follow-up post. No one has used that word since the mid 80s.

As for what I think about the game, I think you are underestimating the Heels. Y'all very well may win -- and I'm predicting you to win -- but you'll be surprised with how good we are. It wouldn't shock me at all if we won, even if we won handily.

Another one that will probably be barking at children on Saturday.

And those should be question marks, champ.

The troll started it, so I will not defend his smack talk, but as far as Chubb goes, talk to Clemson about Chubb.

I wish I had your optimism. I don't think there's any way we score 45. Hell, if we hit 38, I GUARANTEE we win.

We hang 45 on them. No problem. I believe it and for good reason. We nearly did that against Clemson. Of course, that's predicated on our offense executing as well or better than last season, which means Mitch has to be the real deal and our RG situation is solid, and no dumb turnovers or dropped passes we should catch.

Yea well u lost all credibility with that last sentence. Totally classless.

Marquise was running for his life versus Clemson's D at times, but we still scored plenty of points. Clemson's Lawson and Dodd were 1st and 2nd round, reader the DT was 5th round. Then their secondary had two 2nd rounders and a 7th rounder. One LB went 4th round.

You aren't going to field a defense as stacked as Clemson's.
