I know, right! This is another long post, but it is very important to expose the police state tactics Obama used against his political opponents in the 2016 election...

Great commentary by Mark Levin yesterday concerning the Deep State Silent Coup against Trump:

About Obama's efforts against Trump: "There's a much bigger scandal here: We have a prior administration. Barack Obama and his surrogates, who are supporting Hillary Clinton and her party, the Democratic Party. Who were using the... intelligence activities to surveil members of the Trump campaign, and to put that information out in the public. Those are police state tactics. Nothing Flynn or Sessions has done is even in the same category as that," Levin said.

"The question is: Was Obama surveilling top Trump campaign officials during the election?" he asked.

"We absolutely know this is true, the FBI did a preliminary criminal investigation based on a potential connection between a server in Trump Tower and a couple of Russian banks. That turned out to be a dry hole, but one of the most outrageous things I've ever seen... totally uncovered by the media. Instead of closing the investigation, the Obama administration tried to turn it into a FISA court investigation in June [2016]. Apparently the first application they submitted named Trump."

"Even the FISA court said no. There wasn't enough evidence to make out probable cause involving Donald Trump," he said. "In the middle of the campaign the administration was actively having Trump investigated."

Breitbart's Joel Pollack put together this timeline of the so-called "coup" launched by Obama against Trump:

1. June 2016: FISA request. The Obama administration files a request with the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISA) to monitor communications involving Donald Trump and several advisers. The request, uncharacteristically, is denied.

2. July: Russia joke. Wikileaks releases emails from the Democratic National Committee that show an effort to prevent Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) from winning the presidential nomination. In a press conference, Donald Trump refers to Hillary Clinton’s own missing emails, joking: “Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 e-mails that are missing.” That remark becomes the basis for accusations by Clinton and the media that Trump invited further hacking.

3. October: Podesta emails. In October, Wikileaks releases the emails of Clinton campaign chair John Podesta, rolling out batches every day until the election, creating new mini-scandals. The Clinton campaign blames Trump and the Russians.

4. October: FISA request. The Obama administration submits a new, narrow request to the FISA court, now focused on a computer server in Trump Tower suspected of links to Russian banks. No evidence is found — but the wiretaps continue, ostensibly for national security reasons, Andrew McCarthy at National Review later notes. The Obama administration is now monitoring an opposing presidential campaign using the high-tech surveillance powers of the federal intelligence services.

5. January 2017: Buzzfeed/CNN dossier. Buzzfeed releases, and CNN reports, a supposed intelligence “dossier” compiled by a foreign former spy. It purports to show continuous contact between Russia and the Trump campaign, and says that the Russians have compromising information about Trump. None of the allegations can be verified and some are proven false. Several media outlets claim that they had been aware of the dossier for months and that it had been circulating in Washington.

6. January: Obama expands NSA sharing. As Michael Walsh later notes, and as the New York Times reports, the outgoing Obama administration “expanded the power of the National Security Agency to share globally intercepted personal communications with the government’s 16 other intelligence agencies before applying privacy protections.” The new powers, and reduced protections, could make it easier for intelligence on private citizens to be circulated improperly or leaked.

7. January: Times report. The New York Times reports, on the eve of Inauguration Day, that several agencies — the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Treasury Department are monitoring several associates of the Trump campaign suspected of Russian ties. Other news outlets also report the exisentence of “a multiagency working group to coordinate investigations across the government,” though it is unclear how they found out, since the investigations would have been secret and involved classified information.

8. February: Mike Flynn scandal. Reports emerge that the FBI intercepted a conversation in 2016 between future National Security Adviser Michael Flynn — then a private citizen — and Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak. The intercept supposedly was part of routine spying on the ambassador, not monitoring of the Trump campaign. The FBI transcripts reportedly show the two discussing Obama’s newly-imposed sanctions on Russia, though Flynn earlier denied discussing them. Sally Yates, whom Trump would later fire as acting Attorney General for insubordination, is involved in the investigation. In the end, Flynn resigns over having misled Vice President Mike Pence (perhaps inadvertently) about the content of the conversation.

9. February: Times claims extensive Russian contacts. The New York Times cites “four current and former American officials” in reporting that the Trump campaign had “repeated contacts with senior Russian intelligence officials. The Trump campaign denies the claims — and the Times admits that there is “no evidence” of coordination between the campaign and the Russians. The White House and some congressional Republicans begin to raise questions about illegal intelligence leaks.

10. March: the Washington Post targets Jeff Sessions. The Washington Post reports that Attorney General Jeff Sessions had contact twice with the Russian ambassador during the campaign — once at a Heritage Foundation event and once at a meeting in Sessions’s Senate office. The Post suggests that the two meetings contradict Sessions’s testimony at his confirmation hearings that he had no contacts with the Russians, though in context (not presented by the Post) it was clear he meant in his capacity as a campaign surrogate, and that he was responding to claims in the “dossier” of ongoing contacts. The New York Times, in covering the story, adds that the Obama White House “rushed to preserve” intelligence related to alleged Russian links with the Trump campaign. By “preserve” it really means “disseminate”: officials spread evidence throughout other government agencies “to leave a clear trail of intelligence for government investigators” and perhaps the media as well.

This is truly scary stuff ...Obama is clearly acting behind the scenes to try and topple Trump from power. The media is acting as complete shills for this crap and Trump has every right to call this POS community organizing Marxist out. He has been and continues to be a plague on American life and our politics

Wait, isn't this the same Mark Levin who has been trying to undermine Trump's selection of Secretary of State, former ExxonMobile CEO Rex Tillerson, not so much because he is pro-Putin but . . . are you ready for this? . . . because he agrees with the Left on global warming?

And isn't Joel Pollak (please note the correct way to spell his name) the senior editor-at-large at Breitbart, a joke of a media source "founded on the principal of citizen journalism" (i.e., reliant upon misinformed and biased goofballs like yourself for their so-called "news")?

Talk about "fake news," Trump would be having a field day with this crap if only it were anti-Trump rather than anti-Obama.

@keysersosay#1 .... no no no, do not call Obummer a 'marxist' .... a few sheeple on this board will hunt you down and berate you and tell you that you "apparently do not know what a marxist is."

In summary: the Obama administration sought, and eventually obtained, authorization to eavesdrop on the Trump campaign; continued monitoring the Trump team even when no evidence of wrongdoing was found; then relaxed the NSA rules to allow evidence to be shared widely within the government, virtually ensuring that the information, including the conversations of private citizens, would be leaked to the media.

It s so bad here in DC that the latest outrage includes the fact the AP published VP Pence's wifes pvt email address and REFUSED to retract it redact it or in any way stop it ( after Pence ASKED them to

That is an absolute outrage that they would NEVER in a million years do to VP Biden's wife.... NEVER!!! yet they have NO hesitation in doing it to Pence

She was bombarded with hate mail galore... vile, vicious attacks and obviously has had to change her address.

This war that the media has declared on Trump and anyone who works for him is as bad as anything I have ever seen in my 63 years. The media... the LEFT WING MEDIA is simply an attack arm of the Democrat party and will continue to do all it can to destroy Trump.

I believe the proper term for it is the pen is mightier than the sword.

Is anyone surprised that Obama would tap phones? They knew Hillary couldn't win on her own merits so they spied on Trump, skewed polls, etc. At this point none of this should be surprising to anyone.

Breitbart and the Washington Post are equal but opposite forces. Both will print whatever it takes to bash the other side. Unfortunately one of them is actually looked at as a legitimate national publication by some people.

No no no!!! Obama's WH would never use the US IC to spy on US officials, to manipulate Congress, to thwart political enemies! No No No!!! Never!

The National Security Agency's (NSA) continued surveillance of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli leaders may also have swept up private conversations involving members of Congress, the Wall Street Journal reportedTuesday night.

Although President Obama had promised to curb eavesdropping on world leaders who are U.S. allies after Edward Snowden leaked documents revealing the extent of the surveillance, there were a few leaders the White House wished to continue monitoring, including Netanyahu.

The original reason for the stepped up surveillance of Netanyahu, according to the WSJ, was the fear that he would "strike Iran without warning." By 2013, that fear had dissipated. The administration then became concerned about the Iran nuclear deal that was being negotiated. U.S. officials believed that the Israelis were spying on the negotiations and would try to scuttle the deal, the report said.

Further, the Journal reports that intercepted conversations between Israeli leaders confirmed Israel's knowledge of the talks, as well as its intent to undermine any nuclear deal with Iran by leaking its details. When Netanyahu and his top aides came to Washington to talk with Jewish-American groups and members of Congress to lobby against the deal, the NSA was there to pick up the conversations.

Senior officials told the WSJ that those conversations collected by the NSA raised fears "that the executive branch would be accused of spying on Congress." The White House wanted the information anyway, however, because it "believed the intercepted information could be valuable to counter Mr. Netanyahu's campaign."

So in order to avoid leaving a trail, the White House left it to the NSA to figure out what to share, and the NSA obliged, deleting names of members and any personal attacks on the administration.

National Security Council Spokesman Ned Price wouldn't comment on the intelligence activities written about in the Wall Street Journal's story, but he said in a statement, "[W]e do not conduct any foreign intelligence surveillance activities unless there is a specific and validated national security purpose. This applies to ordinary citizens and world leaders alike."

He added that the U.S. commitment to Israel's security is "sacrosanct" and "backed by concrete actions that demonstrate the depth of U.S. support for Israel."

The office of Speaker of the House Paul Ryan said only that it was looking into the matter.

Rep. Devin Nunes, chairman of the House Select Committee on Intelligence, said the committee would also be looking into the report.

"The Committee has requested additional information from the [Intelligence Community] to determine which, if any, of these allegations are true, and whether the IC followed all applicable laws, rules, and procedures," Nunes said in a statement Wednesday.

Before a campaign event in Cisco, Texas, Sen. Ted Cruz said he wasn't surprised that the administration was trying to intercept Netanyahu's communications, or even that conversations including members of Congress may have been swept up by the NSA, "because this administration views Congress, Republicans and sometimes even Democratic members of Congress as their enemy....At times, it seems like they view the American people as their enemy."

The allegations "are total nonsense," a spokesman for the Embassy of Israel in Washington told the WSJ.

Before Netanyahu came to address Congress, the NSA had intercepted Israeli messages that said Netanyahu wanted the "the latest U.S. positions in the Iran talks," the Journal wrote, signaling to to the administration that Netanyahu intended to use his address to reveal sensitive details about the negotiations. Secretary of State John Kerry then said as much to reporters on the eve of the speech.

Kerry justified his accusation by pointing to Israeli media reports, but those reports were a convenient source, given that "Intelligence officials said the media reports allowed the U.S. to put Mr. Netanyahu on notice without revealing they already knew his thinking. The prime minister mentioned no secrets during his speech to Congress," wrote the Journal.

The behavior of the Dimocrats and the media is disgusting, and is in contradiction of everything America stands for.

The entire mess of the potential problems of a foreign government should be thoroughly investigated. All aspects. Past and present occupants of the White House. If Obama inappropriately investigated Trump, he should be crucified. If Trump received information from or encouraged Russian hacking, he should be crucified as well.

Democrat Kathy Arue: “My sources from the White House told me, she thinks it’s all true. She said, um there were concerns that Trump-and this is from the White House and the administration inside the White House…there were concerns that Trump and his surrogates may have been colluding with the Russians and a possible bargaining chip to influence the election, therefore a wiretap was conducted.”

Meanwhile...
In a surprisingly candid interview on Sunday, James Clapper, the director of national intelligence under President Obama, directly denied that a secret federal warrant was ever issued against President Trump or his campaign.

Clapper, who was interviewed on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” also said that he saw no evidence while in office of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian government to influence the election.

“I will say that for the part of the national security apparatus that I oversaw as DNI there was no such wiretap activity mounted against the president-elect at the time as a candidate or against his campaign,” Clapper told “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd.

Clapper also told Todd that he would “absolutely” be in a position to know whether a warrant was ever issued to wiretap Trump’s phones under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, or FISA.

“And at this point you can’t confirm or deny that something like this exists?” Todd asked.

“I can deny it,” Clapper said, much to the host’s surprise.

“There is no FISA court order?” Todd responded.

“Not to my knowledge,” Clapper said.

“Well that’s an important revelation at this point,” said Todd.

Soooo, we have DEMs with contacts inside the Obama WH that are saying there absolutely were discussions about wiretapping Trump and that the wiretaps in fact occurred because the Obama WH was concerned about Trump colluding with the Russians. Meanwhile, former DNI Clapper states unequivocally there were no FISA Court warrants taken out against Trump and there was never any evidence of collusion between Trump campaign and Russian hackers - and, he was in the position to know it. Therefore, that leaves but one possibility - Trump was wiretapped illegally. All the we have been seeing are the products of information illegally obtained about the communications of a US citizen (Trump) and his associates - these were political enemies of Obama, Hillary, and the DEMs. Further, this classified information was illegally leaked to the press while Obama was still president, the classification was downgraded at Obama's direction to permit wider dissemination thoughout the other intelligence agencies where Obama appointees are still in government, and those persons have been leaking the information since Trump's inauguration. A Deep State coup of epic proportions.

If true, it's one of the most egregious crimes ever perpetrated by an administration. I put absolutely nothing past the last administration. Nothing. We know they sicced the IRS on Republican fund raisers. We know they've politicized the DOJ. I think this is the tip of the iceberg with regard to malfeasance on their part. But will it be allowed to come to light? I have my doubts due to the complicity of the media. Truth be damned.

Remember IRS targeting of conservative groups (the IRS commissioner had more meetings in the WH than ANY other visitor. Period). Remember James Rosen, the FOX NEWS reporter and the myriad of AP reporters Obama and his goons had surveilled.

How did they get the phone call between the president and the president of Australia? Or the one that he made with Mexico? Those are not targeted foreigners.

The NSA may have been behind a data leak that might have revealed that Michael Flynn, Trump’s national security adviser, allegedly misled Vice President Mike Pence and other Trump administration officials about the contents of his phone calls with Russia’s ambassador to Washington.

If they weren’t behind it, they certainly had the data. Now the difference here is that FBI and CIA have direct access inside the NSA databases. So, they may be able to go directly in there and see that material there. And NSA doesn’t monitor that. They don’t even monitor their own people going into databases.

So, they don’t monitor what CIA and FBI do. And there’s no oversight or attempted oversight by any of the committees or even the FISA court. So, any way you look at it, ultimately the NSA is responsible because they are doing the collection on everybody inside the United States. Phone calls. Emails. All of that stuff. The release of that information is ILLEGAL.

Remember this crap?

"As he was leaning toward Medvedev in Seoul, Obama was overheard asking for time — “particularly with missile defense” — until he is in a better position politically to resolve such issues.

“I understand your message about space,” replied Medvedev, who will hand over the presidency to Putin in May.

“This is my last election … After my election I have more flexibility,” Obama said, expressing confidence that he would win a second term.

“I will transmit this information to Vladimir,” said Medvedev, Putin’s protégé and long considered number two in Moscow’s power structure.

This was something that was never followed up on by the American media because they knew, all too well, where it would lead. Obama traded away vital American interests in return for getting Russia to play the role of intermediary to bring Iran to the negotiating table where Obama could complete the destruction of our efforts to keep Iran from getting a nuke."

"The question is: Was Obama surveilling top Trump campaign officials during the election?" he asked.

Obama is clearly acting behind the scenes to try and topple Trump from power.

At this point none of this should be surprising to anyone.

This is worse that the Watergate scandal

This is what you call wild speculation while keeping your fingers crossed.

Actually, I don't like to think that any administration would stoop so low but the previous regime has demonstrated numerous times that they will do about anything to maintain power. Will you agree that if true, those responsible should be prosecuted to the fullest extent?

If you're asking me, the answer is unequivocally yes.

This is what you call wild speculation while keeping your fingers crossed.
Nope, all this has been pulled right out of all the left-stream media outlets you all venerate - NYT, WAPO, CNN, Politico, et al. The dots have simply been connected.

Now, the Main Stream Media and other enemies of the current President are challenging the proposition that President Obama wire tapped President Donald Trump during the 2016 Presidential race. President Trump started this discussion with his tweets over the weekend.

In his first tweet President Trump tweeted:

Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my “wires tapped” in Trump Tower just before the victory. Nothing found. This is McCarthyism!

Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my “wires tapped” in Trump Tower just before the victory. Nothing found. This is McCarthyism!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 4, 2017

He next tweeted:

Is it legal for a sitting President to be “wire tapping” a race for president prior to an election? Turned down by court earlier. A NEW LOW!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 4, 2017

Next the President tweeted:

I’d bet a good lawyer could make a great case out of the fact that President Obama was tapping my phones in October, just prior to Election!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 4, 2017

The final for four tweets concerning the wire tapping:

How low has President Obama gone to tapp my phones during the very sacred election process. This is Nixon/Watergate. Bad (or sick) guy!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 4, 2017

This is now being referred to as Obamagate!

It is not unfounded that former President Obama would wire tap President Trump during the election process. This is because he has done this kind of thing before. Here is a list of individuals who were wire tapped by the Obama Administration.

The following list was released on February 23rd (see link here) of Obama Administration wire taps:

* The US National Security Agency bugged a private climate change strategy meeting; between UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon and German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin;
* Obama bugged Chief of Staff of UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) for long term interception targetting his Swiss phone;
* Obama singled out the Director of the Rules Division of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Johann Human, and targetted his Swiss phone for long term interception;
* Obama stole sensitive Italian diplomatic cables detailing how Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu implored Italy’s Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi to help patch up his relationship with US President Barack Obama, who was refusing to talk to Netanyahu;
* Obama intercepted top EU and Japanese trade ministers discussing their secret strategy and red lines to stop the US “extort[ing]” them at the WTO Doha arounds (the talks subsequently collapsed);
* Obama explicitly targeted five other top EU economic officials for long term interception, including their French, Austrian and Belgium phone numbers;
* Obama explicitly targetted the phones of Italy’s ambassador to NATO and other top Italian officials for long term interception; and
* Obama intercepted details of a critical private meeting between then French president Nicolas Sarkozy, Merkel and Berluscon, where the latter was told the Italian banking system was ready to “pop like a cork”.

In addition to the above list we also know now that Obama wire tapped various individuals in the US media that were reporting information not flattering to the Obama Administration. It is widely known that Obama’s Justice Department targeted journalists with wiretaps in 2013:

* In 2013 the liberal Washington Post expressed outrage after the revelation that the Justice Department had investigated the newsgathering activities of a Fox News reporter as a potential crime in a probe of classified leaks. The reporter, Fox News’ James Rosen and his family, were part of an investigation into government officials anonymously leaking information to journalists. Rosen was not charged but his movements and actions were tracked.
* Also in 2013, members of the Associated Press were also a target of the surveillance. The ultra liberal New Yorker even noted that “In moderate and liberal circles, at least, the phone-records scandal, partly because it involves the dear old A.P. and partly because it raises anew the specter of Big Brother, may well present the most serious threat to Obama’s reputation.”
* Reporter Sharyl Attkisson said in 2014 that her personal computer and CBS laptop were hacked after she began filing stories about Benghazi that were unflattering to the Obama administration. A source who checked her laptop said the hacker used spyware “proprietary to a government agency,” according to an article in the New York Post.

"An incendiary idea first put forward by right-wing radio host Mark Levin is now burning across Washington, fanned by President Trump's tweets and a huge number of supportive commentators and websites -- even though the facts don't back up the conclusion.

"Levin's original idea, advanced on Thursday, was that former President Barack Obama and his allies have mounted a 'silent coup' against Trump using 'police state' tactics. Levin cherry-picked news stories that supported his thesis and omitted information that cut against it.

"The next day, Rush Limbaugh echoed Levin's 'silent coup' language, and Breitbart columnist Joel Pollak published an 'expanded version of that case.'

"That's how the idea reached Trump's radar. The Breitbart article 'circulated' in the West Wing, a White House official told CNN's Jeff Zeleny, and the information 'infuriated' Trump.

"To be clear, Levin and Limbaugh and Pollak didn't publish any original reporting. They merely claimed to have connected some dots.

"The president's tweetstorm on Saturday morning went even further than Levin and Pollak's opinion pieces. Trump alleged that 'Obama was tapping my phones in October,' just before Election Day, adding that he 'just found out' about it.

"There is no evidence to back up this theory. While the government has been investigating Russian attempts to interfere with the election, a spokesman for Obama called any suggestion that Obama or any White House official ordered surveillance against Trump 'simply false.'"

Your president is full of shit, Nuk, and so are you.

As the New York Times — supposedly the paper of record — recently reported, there is “no evidence” that the “Trump campaign was colluding with the Russians on the hacking or other efforts to influence the election.” But there is ample evidence that the outgoing Obama administration could have used intelligence agencies to carry out a political agenda against Trump. The media, as Mark Levin pointed out again on Sunday’s Fox and Friends, simply refuse to report their own earlier reports.

Even without Trump’s more sensational accusations of wiretapping, it is, so far, undisputed that there have been many leaks of classified information to damage Trump, and that the Obama administration took steps that could have made such leaks more likely. (Charles Krauthammer — who is skeptical of “deep state” theories — called this the “Revenge of the Losers” on Friday.) Those are serious allegations that the former administration is likely going to have to explain to Congress.

But if the Obama administration did order surveillance of the Trump campaign during the election; and if Obama or any other White House officials knew about it (or created a “plausible deniability” scheme to allow such surveillance while preventing themselves from knowing about it directly); then there is an even bigger problem.

It would then seem that the “Russia hacking” story was concocted not just to explain away an embarrassing election defeat, but to cover up the real scandal.

Your president is full of shit, Nuk, and so are you.
Nope! There is plenty of information out there to demonstrate what's going on. You and your venerated left-wing sites simply refuse to recognize it or report on your own previous reports. Here's what we know:
1) Obama's administration placed Trump under electronic surveillance because they thought he was colluding with the Russians against the $RC's campaign. In order to do that, they needed a FISA court warrant. Plain and simple. If they surveilled him without a warrant, they're screwed. Now, if they didn't have FISA warrant, they would have been picking him up in their other routine surveillance of Russians. In that case, as soon as they picked him or his associates up they are required by statute to turn off the recording or go to the FISA court to get permission to continue recording. It is obvious from the Flynn episode that they didn't stop recording. And, they didn't have a FISA warrant. So, they're screwed again.

2) Based on DNI Clapper (see above) and many other intelligence committee representatives on BOTH sides, there is ZERO evidence that Trump or his associates colluded with the Russians to hack into DNC, $RC, or Podesta emails. None. Nada. Zip. Therefore, why was Trump under surveillance??? The obvious answer is that Obama was on a fishing expedition to find damaging information on Trump that would seal his fate in the election. Surprise! Nothing was found, and Trump won in the most surprising electoral upset in US political history!

It would then seem that the “Russia hacking” story was concocted not just to explain away an embarrassing election defeat, but to cover up the real scandal.

Judge Andrew Napolitano weighed in on allegations that the Obama administration monitored Trump Tower during the 2016 election on Fox News Monday morning, calling the alleged actions “profoundly unconstitutional” but still “legal.”

“Because of the unique interpretation of a Ronald Reagan executive order… and because of the language of the USA Freedom Act,” Napolitano explained. “The NSA now has ability to capture in realtime the digital copies of everybody’s phone calls, cell and landline, everybody’s key strokes, mobile device and desktop.” (VIDEO: Earnest Won’t Deny Allegations Obama Admin. Surveilled Trump Tower During Election)

“The NSA works for the president. If the president were to ask for a transcribed copy of any of that, they’d give it to him,” he continued. “The President of the United States can order surveillance on any person inside the United States in conjunction with a certificate or a certification filed by the attorney general.”

“In my view it’s profoundly unconstitutional but it is legal because of the statue,” Napolitano stated. “Think about this, if you’re Barack Obama, and you have the ability by making a phone call to hear what Donald Trump is saying, are you going to bother to get a warrant?”

“Why would you get a warrant?”

Soooo, this plays into Trump's allegation of Obama. DNI and FBI Director denies that FISA warrants were issued and they are in the best position to know. Obama has statutory authority to directly order the NSA to conduct the surveillance on Trump as long as he has a certificate from the Attorney General. Bingo. Obama surveils Trump and his associates with the intent to pick up dirt on Trump to prevent him from winning the presidency, even though he doesn't believe Trump has a snowballs chance in hell of getting elected. In the process, he feeds this information to $RC, who Tweets it out on 10/31/16, just 8 days before the election.

There simply is no other way this would have been otherwise disseminated. Clinton’s tweet on Halloween links the information to a story in left-loving Slate. But her campaign’s original statement on the Russian server was issued before the Slate article was even published. This likely means her campaign fed Slate and other cooperating media the information as well for its story then waited until it was published to provide cover for the campaign and the wiretap. When’s the last time Slate broke a major story on its own? Never.

Oooooops! Trump wins big-time and $hill is left holding the proverbial gas bag.

The only bugs in Trump Tower are cockroaches.
Obama wiretapped him. Plain and simple. From your beloved NYT, A1 headline 1/20/17: "Wiretapped Data Used in Inquiry of Trump Aides.”

Well, the New York Times has a story back in January admitting that wiretapped data has been used in an inquiry of Trump aides. And this article goes on to say “intelligence reports based on some of the wiretapped communications had been provided to the White House.”

And, you expect me to believe Obama wasn't behind it?

If only it was that simple, Nyuk. Of course if it was always that easy -- a journalist writes a story and a politician is brought down -- Trump would be facing impeachment proceedings as we speak.

If the propaganda arm of the DIM-LIB-NAZI party had it's way he would have been eliminated the day after the election.

Meanwhile...

Robert Mook, $RC's campaign manager helped bolster Trump's allegations that Obama had him under surveillance when he appeared on Fox and Friends and admitted that the Clinton campaign had knowledge of the wiretaps:

“The facts are that Trump aides were caught talking to Russian agents and those conversations were captured because the intelligence community regularly taps the phone lines of those Russian agents,” he said.

“There was a wiretap of Russian agents and that those Russian agents were communicating with Trump staff,” Mook added. “That’s what the intelligence community has told us. That’s what’s been reported very widely. Those are the facts.”

Told us?

First, why was the intelligence community informing one campaign of surveillance captured on its opponent?

Second, not to mention that when IC officials become aware that they are tapping into Americans during the course of surveilling an adversary they are supposed to minimize those recordings and destroy the transcripts! If they want to continue recording they have to go to FISA court to obtain warrant. DNI Clapper flatly denied that the IC ever obtained such FISA warrants. That leaves two remaining possible options for continued surveillance of Trump and his associates: 1) the FBI counter-intel branch initiated a FISA warrant (unlikely, since the existence of that warrant on an opposing political candidate would be briefed to the POTUS, would be covered in the daily intel briefings, and would ultimately be known to Clapper); and, 2) Obama bypassed all that, went directly to NSA and ordered them to conduct surveillance on Trump under EO 13222 and the FISA statute once the Attorney General certification was obtained (again, this would have been eventually known to Clapper).

The “Fox & Friends” hosts pointed to a tweet from Hillary Clinton on Oct. 31 that linked to a column from Slate that attempted to connect a server in Trump Tower to Russia.

Here is $RC's Tweet of 31 OCT 16

So, it begs the question: Under what authority did Obama conduct surveillance on Trump?
