Quick stuff (BC game)...

Arch, I believe that every player that has played for Hubert loves him as a person, I do not think they respect him as a coach. Every kid that ever played for Dean Smith loved Dean Smith but EVERY kid that ever played for Dean Smith knew they had total respect for Dean Smith, similar can be said about Roy.

Had Dean told his players early in a game that he wanted them to hop up and down the court on 1 leg for the first 2mins, know what would have happened, we would have seen 5 guys hopping up and down on 1 leg! Why, because each and every guy knew, Dean Smith knows what he is doing, you may not understand why but you trusted Dean did. Don't believe me, did not great players play the 4Cs a LOT under Dean, could any other coach have done that and not see players revolt? LOL

Players don't want their coach to be their buddy they want their coach to be a coach, to show them what to do when they don't know, to teach them what they need to know, there has to be a clear and unmistakable line. It is none of the coach's darn business what my favorite cookie is, I need to know what I can do to get more minutes.
Yep. I’ve said this since he was hired and I’ve always felt like he would lack authoritative respect because he’s too nice and comes off like their friend instead of their coach who they have to respect.

Hubert Davis

Let's only hope. But if JWash adds 230-240 pounds, I don't think those knees can take it.

; ^ )
Being honest as I can be, I am questioning JWash's heart and passion for the game. Kid has, in my opinion NBA level raw talent but a raw egg makes a awful omlet. I seen plenty of people in weight rooms all my life but only a very few are really putting in that intense hard work required to build muscle mass, which is what Jalen needs. Jalen by nature is a passive guy yet I have seen passive guys rip players to shreds on the court, have seen passive guys put in amazing work in the weight room. It takes huge dedication in the weight room to add that bulk Jalen needs, Bacot was not close to the physical specimen he was when he left UNC as a freshman. Greatness in any sport is a direct result of how much passion you have and how much consistent work you are willing to invest.

I see Jalen as very talented but SOFT, I don't mean that as an insult to the kid, he is a wonderful kid, one any parent would be proud of but he shys away from the physical and embraces the finesse, he limits himself by thinking he has boundaries that he can not exceed, great players do not limit themselves, they dedicate each minute to each day to getting better, if I am not better today than I was yesterday then I failed, do I allow failure to define me?

I offer my apology to anyone I offend. You see I am diehard Carolina Blue-blood Tarheel!!! I expect that is an unfathomable honor to don the jersey. I treat my Carolina stuff like gold. Only wear an old Carolina jacket when is raining or precipitating. Maybe I have been hard on the team at times, but I desire them to play with passion, we love our beloved Tarheels. I know we don't know what goes on the locker room and everyday life, a lot may be going on. I hope all will succeed in life and sport. I am trying to learn to not talk or type until everything is processed. Go Tarheels... Love others and Live for Christ!

OOTB's Political Thread . ..

lol, made me think; TDS must work the exact opposite way. No one who suffers can tell that they have it and that it is on full display, and only those who don't suffer from it can diagnose it in those who exhibit all those recognizable symptoms, like disappearing in the presence of a Trump presidency..

You know @blazers and @Heels Noir are poasting somewhere. Neither of those two idiot blowhards could totally cut off their need to lecture somebody on something.

But where is @prlyles? Don’t make me come find you in the Wordle thread, Gramps. Get in this thread and tell us how much you’ve enjoyed the first week of the second Trump Presidency.
