Yeah, I doubt Elon spends any meaningful time away from Tesla/Starlink/Twitter to do anything noteworthy. I do find it interesting that the party of small government creates totally new roles when that job could have just been given to a position that already existed.

ETA: there's also a shit ton of government money going to them, so I'm not sure they are the best choices for an independent look.

2ETA: And unless Trump is going to cut back on defense spending, SS and Medicare, he won't be able to make a dent.
