Netflix Finds

“Penguin” was incredible. Imo easily the best movie or series of any of the super hero genre. It’s not action packed or full of clever innuendo or sci fi special effects. It’s dark and gritty and really makes you dislike certain characters and pull for others. The production is awesome as well. Def worth the watch if you’re okay with slow burners.

Other ACC Games Week 11

During one of the recent games they mentioned that the strength program focuses more on high rep stuff. That's fine for skills guys but it's insane not to have the big guys building raw power by going heavy in the 3-5 rep range. Some of the modern strength training stuff is cool but I guarantee you that the big time SEC schools are still prioritizing heavy compound lifts.

Also... this probably won't be a popular talking point but I think PED usage in college football is way more prevalent than the average fan realizes.
It is far worse than almost anyone wants to acknowledge even possible. Simply, all those naturally huge fat guys can play OL and DL only because of PEDs. That short term converts some fat into fake muscle and provides more stamina. But they still often turn out to be slow acting and easily outmaneuvered.

With PEDS you can take a 220 pound LB and make him 260 pound DE/Edge Rusher who not only added weight nd strength but also a quick step. But he also will tend to lack stamina and need a good deal of rest to be at his most explosive when he is playing. .

OOTB's Political Thread . ..

The Harris-Walz campaign paid Oprah $1 million to make a couple of appearances supporting her candidacy. Imagine that. I guess that how they managed to outspend the Trump-Vance campaign by a half a billion dollars in ad money and still lose. They tried their best to buy the election. Thank goodness it didn’t work.

We really do need campaign finance reform.

OOTB's Political Thread . ..

It happens in all elections, on besides, but in this one there were lots of people who voted Trump, then skipped the rest of the ballot, hence all the swing state dem senators.

There were 3 types of Trump's voters, broadly.

1. The folks described above who skipped the rest of the ballot. These are low-info, ignorant voters not serious about government or elections. They would vote for any repub option.

2. People who dislike Trump but dislike Kamala even more. They want traditional Republican / conservative (or religious-right) policy at all cost. They admit Trump is a POS but are afraid of liberal policy, some are simply misogynistic or racist.

3. Cult members. They believe in pet-eating, bleach injection, pizza gate, presidential hurricane models, "concepts of plans", not releasing taxes, pressuring States to find votes, election denying before a vote is even cast.

So are you low-info & ignorant, agreeing that Trump is a narcissistic, divisive, policy-less POS, or in the Cult?

Still sour grapin’, huh?
I don't hang with any particular media outlet, I just pick up on some of this and some of that. This evening for example I watched a 60 minutes story about the dems losing the election.

There are two .things I've observed since the election One is that the dems try to hang their defeat on anything and everything but the obviously correct reason...that they were just wrong. The other is that out of nothing but pure vindictiveness and defiance, they are going to once again try to throw stumbling blocks against whatever Trump tries to achieve. They do this in spite of what's good for the country and in spite of the exceedingly clear message from the voters that that obstructionist attitude and support for the clearly wrong path we have been on is exactly why Trump got elected.

Some things will never change.
Amen. This election was a referendum on Dim policies yet Dims are too dim to see it, instead blaming their loss on everything but their policies. Their sheer arrogance can’t be overstated.
