There is absolutely no way that Chizik, Cross, etc. will be retained, right?

Going to open up a discussion which I hope everyone will be civil about, but I do not believe that Cross is the reason the line played the way they did these past season. If we had players who were good enough Cross could have brought out the best in them. He has been putting players in the NFL for years, even had some at Carolina that are in the NFL. Just do not believe the players we had playing on the defensive line were that good, and it goes back to you play what you have, if there is nothing better to play with. Chizik not so sure that he is the man for DC job, believe there are upgrades out there who could maximize the limited talent which we have on defense. What are you'll thoughts on this?

UConn Prep

I have just seen some snippets of UC but as a UNC coaching staff how to you approach and game plan for a team that has 2 of the things that generally give you trouble? They have big guards that shoot a decent % from 3 and they have a 7'2 280lb. center that will dwarf Mando and probably neutralize his scoring and likely get him in to foul trouble. They also have 5 players avg. double digits and 8 players averaging over 10 mpg so they are fairly deep. I know games are not played on paper but what do you think would be a good game plan for UNC. I think run run run and scramble/press on D for 40 minutes but I know nothing. This looks like a tough match-up for UNC but the Vegas line isn't showing it. Where's our advantage in this match-up?

Washington needs more minutes according to some but whose minutes?

I have seen several fans on Facebook indicating Washington should get more time on the floor and less time on the pine but my question to everyone is whose minutes does he take.

Presently he is the backup to Bacot but he cannot come close to rebounding the ball like Mando does or score in close. Maybe put him in the place of Ingram but thru the first 6 games Ingram has probably been the best Tar Heel on the court with his scoring, rebounding and assists. In Ryan’s spot you have to be kidding because Ryan the last couple games has finally been hitting from the outside.

So someone much smartly than I am tell me where Washington could get more minutes?

Discussion
UNC overcame a dismal 1st half by implementing a full court press defense, erasing a 14-point deficit. This was a case of UNC having a bad day offensively, and figuring out a way to get it done. UNC wasn't historically bad or good in any facet of the game except for 3-point shooting. They were 23% from behind the arc, a performance seen worse on 157 occasions in the last 999.
