As everyone knows I am always defending Hubert mainly because I think he's a great person and roll model for the kids but I feel too many are giving him the short short leash when it comes to running this program. Without rehashing a lot of what has already been discussed since none of it matters until this season starts anyway I really would like to get you to vist something that unless I missed it has not been fully discussed .
That would be when Hubert first took over this team in the 21/22 season. Let's just say somewhere shortly before Garcia defected. I honestly would like to see on paper a better idea of the rotation of players. I know we had some injuries so that can effect things but along those lines how many times did Hubert give kids like Walton , Harris , Puff ,Manek or Garcia a chance to be in the rotation. I know Manek came off the bench ( at least I think he did) but I think you get my drift. I think we were regulated to a Iron five out of necessity and for those that think this years team with all the talent it has could be subject to Hubert not playing them lies in that first month or so of the first year more than last years squad . I would just like to see if that theory holds water or I'm dreaming .
I know you guys are always busy but maybe when you get a few minutes i hope you could address it.

While Asim Richards can play guard, he made a name for himself as a left tackle. Richards had one more year of eligibility at UNC but opted to enter the NFL instead, and wouldn't you know it? What offensive and defensive player do you think is flying under the radar (and why)???

Offense - Bryson Nesbitt - It is almost like we have forgotten how talented this kid is/ can be. I fully believe that this kid will be playing on Sundays. He is the only limitation. He improved tremendously as a blocker last year but he was pretty bad in that area. I look forward to his whole game taking another leap this year! He gets over-shadowed by Drake Maye and the battle at RB but he and our other TEs will make things happen if given the chance.

Defense - Derrik Allen - This is just a gut feeling for me but I think that we will see this guy on the field a bunch this year. We wasn't discussed much this spring but it seemed like he stayed near the top of the depth chart. At the minimum, I feel like he will be in the right place at the right time which was one of Cam Kelly's biggest weaknesses.

Carolina is pretty deep at every position but I would not mind a additional small forward with hops to back up Ingram…Which position would you like the Tar Heels to consider looking at?

So we’re at the beach yesterday against my better judgement (it’s kinda like going out drinking on New Year’s Eve, Nothing but amateurs). Now keep in mind there’s already been nearly 200 water rescues and one drowning in a 3 mi stretch of beach since Fri. Conditions have been rough and rip tides are bad. So the 17ish year old girl lifeguard (would) has the red flag up and keeps having to tell the same 7 something year olds to not go out past their waist. And it’s obvious there’s a rip roaring rip current right where they’re going in. Well mamma karen ain’t having none of that. She finally storms up to the lifeguard stand and starts yelling and berating the poor girl telling her to leave her kids alone and she will be the one deciding how far they can go in. This goes back and forth until….right on cue….one of the girls gets sucked out and is dog paddling with her face barely out of the water with waves pummeling her. The guard has to literally shove the clueless still hollering Karen out of the way to go rescue her kid. (Who thankfully was fine) The Karen never even thanked the lifeguard. Just scolded her daughter for going out too far then packed up and stormed off the beach. Everyone cheered as she left. Someone yelled “go back to Ohio”. She prob fed the sea gulls later.

Kansas State probably was the all time worst football program in any Major conference. K-St's history was a sick joke back then, even compared to Vanderbilt. Even crappy KU football had much more football history than did K-St. But that one right coach turned a total nothing, the weakest of the very weak over a 70 year span, into a strange power. How could that even be possible? There is no talent in KS. Per capita, there is no more in neighbouring MO. NE plays a bit better HS football than KS, but that state is very sparsely populated and everybody wants to be Cornhusker. No halfway decent talent in bordering OK wants to be a Wildcat, or a Jayhawk. Why would anybody want to be in KS for any reason? Well, except well paid basketball players at KU.

What Snyder did was one of the best coaching jobs in history. So good that it is nearly unbelievable.

Here is an article to remind us all that even though the Big 12 has OU and Texas, and that last year TCU reached the National Championship Game, the Big 12 Champ was Kansas State. A funny thing about the legacy of a truly great coach: he leaves the situation in such shape that success will return to that program sooner rather than later.

Two UNC teammates were selected Tuesday on day three of the 2023 MLB Draft. Pitcher Max Carlson was taken in the 12th round by the Boston Red Sox, while the New York Yankees drafted catcher Tomas Frick in the 15th round.
