Mack Hollins, who's entering his seventh year in the NFL, has starred as a leader on the young Falcons' offense, in which he's the oldest pure wideout and sixth oldest overall player. In news that could rock the world of name, image and likeness, the IRS suggests that nonprofit NIL collectives offering tax deductions could be breaking the law. Donations made to nonprofit NIL collectives “are not tax exempt” because the benefits they provide athletes are “not incidental both qualitatively and quantitatively to any exempt purpose.” (Sports Illustrated)

Among UNC's returners for defensive coordinator Gene Chizik is edge rusher Kaimon Rucker, who had a big year in 2022. Now, entering this season Rucker is among the highest-graded edge rushers in the ACC. Pro Football Focus ranks Rucker No. 2 with a grade of 84.1. Rucker along with linebacker Cedric Gray look to lead the Tar Heels' front seven. (USA Today)

Michael Jordan finalizing sale of Charlotte Hornets​

Michael Jordan is finalizing a sale of the Charlotte Hornets to a group led by Gabe Plotkin and Rick Schnall, ending his 13-year run as majority owner, league sources report. An agreement is expected to be signed in the coming days. Jordan will continue to oversee basketball operations through next Thursday's NBA draft and the start of free agency on July 1. (ESPN.com)
