Current Safeties
- Trey Morrison 5'9-195 Jr
- Cam'Ron Kelly 6'1-205 So
- Don Chapman 6'1-190 So
- Giovanni Biggers 6'1-185 So
- Cameron Roseman-Sinclair 5'11-195 Fr
In my opinion, we will see a shakeup here post-Spring. I believe that Kelly and Chapman were coming off leg-related injuries (not sure but I'm sure one had a knee injury) that requires extra time to be 100% physically and mentally. I do believe that they are both better than they showed many times this year. If these guys don't improve with angles and tackling, I think we see a few position moves.
Possible Options
- Ja'Qurious Conley 6'0-210 Fr
- Ray Rose 6'1-210 Fr
Conley has already proven that he can make plays in space. He also brings a physicality that we have not seen from our safeties. Rose is a guy that looked really good and instinctive on defense in HS. If he is struggling at WR (no info here), I definitely think he should get a shot on defense. We need fast safeties with great instincts who make WRs think twice about coming across the middle.
