A few days ago it felt like we weren't making headway with anyone. Now it feels like we're in the running for a few guys. Is that true?

Soooo... UNC's staff hasn't managed to acquire anyone from the portal and it's almost May. I guess the portal is too new to determine whether or not that statistic is a typical situation, or reason to be concerned. Kansas has practically a gathered a full team in a month.
Do you know if offers were made and rejected, or is this complaining in general?

Hubert has been very selective, several of the names that fans have got excited about never really made it past the Hubert vetting stage. Many seem to feel that we have missed on several guys and maybe it is time to panic. That isn't true however, as best I can tell Hubert has missed on 1 guy so far and that was simply about the money, Aidoo. Omouryi is set to visit late next week, I think things will move pretty rapidly after he visits. There is another factor that is kind of out of the blue, concerning a high school recruit that has now de-committed from Ky, a big man, don't know how serlous that is.

I see Boogie Fland is back on the market, too, if 247 is correct. I'm assuming that's not of interest to us if RJ is definite about returning. But if he isn't definite, would we want him, or are we OK with Elliot, Seth and Ian?

Who's our competition for Cade Tyson?

I used to do that sort of thing but the effort usually came up empty, so I stopped. Boards like this are useful that way because someone else may have come across the info and be willing to share it.
Some are even willing to share without sounding like they are scolding. But tone of voice is always a problem on boards like this.
I didn't realize he also put his name in the draft. How does that affect things? Would he, for example, be likely to delay his transfer decision until he gets feedback from the pros?
If we had to choose between Cade Tyson and Adou Thiero, which one is a better fit for us?

We need both.
We only have 1 reliable 3pt weapon assuming RJ returns. So a player like Cade is a major need.
We don't have a starting caliber comboforward to replace Harrison Ingram. So a player like Adou is a major need.
With Cade Tyson on board, do we have more need to replace Ingram (Theiro) or more need to replace Armando (Omoruyi)?
Assuming we don't get all of them, I'm thinking Omoruyi may be more important.

I don't think there's a chance of that happening since he's got first round projections.
Side note: if he doesn't pull then there's no chance he comes back since you lose eligibility once you're drafted.
I think the chances of him removing his self from the draft is slim to none, but the last I checked he was almost universally seen as a 2nd round guy. I can't recall one that had him with a 1st round grade. I hope he is indeed though, because he seems likely to be going either way.
This is what I was referring too when I said he was a first round projection. Where he goes doesn't matter in terms of him coming back or not though. He'll lose his eligibility when he gets drafted.
