Couple weeks ago I heard he would decide by the 5th. Not sure if that still is the date
It's a much different world recruiting from 8 years ago, let alone the eons away from Carolina does not really have to recruit they just choose days. Cut the crap, it's about getting the elite, always has been, and doing right with them keeps it coming. More competition now for that, and for how long can you pay for the elite to stay. Cuz you don't own them for 3 years once you convince them to sign anymore. Gotta earn those years of their initial choice as a 18 year old. Huge money is being made from their skill set in those years. It is a buisness, has been for a long time.

Something is happening and you had to know that whe4n this kid cancelled visits and yet visited us on his own dime, he sure didn't do that just to be able to watch a UNC vs Pitt football game! This feels like a cross your T's and dot your I's visit and it kind of seems to have come out of no where. Wilson's recruitment has been just straight weird. A week ago EVERYONE thought this kid was a done deal for Ky, he was supposed to be a package deal with the PG that was felt to be a strong Ky lean and had just eliminated us.
And now, Ky fans have given up hope and expect him to commit to UNC ? CrAzY!

We couldn't afford to fill the void in our front court left by Ingram and Bacot. We certainly don't have the type of money needed to land Dybantsa.
Nobody has that type of money except BYU right now..He is literally asking for what amounts to the entire NIL budget for every school in the country…
This is where the NBA is hurting College basketball…Let the kids go straight from High School.If they need time to develop that is what the G-League is for…Also if you come to college use the football and baseball rule..You have to stay for 3 years…
I think the NHL set up may have a slight chance, can't see the NBA wanting anything to do with MLB or NFL set up,
Really I don’t see how NIL is going to be sustainable for most schools…Especially schools like UNC that have 28 scholarship sports to support…Just not enough money to go around when Basketball and Football are the only ones making money and every other team losing money…

We all know who among us needs to read and think about this, then realize this is SOME of what has always made this program special. I don't see how you talk about how Dean did it and in the same breath complain that we can't afford to "buy" the players you want.

But the college game has zero say in eligibility for a pro league. The pro leagues set their collectively bargained draft regulations.
