Agreed... No, I don't believe it would have. I already know they were willing to surrender going back to February, 1945. The "terms" of course weren't up-to-snuff for whomever was in charge. But, surrender was already on the table, and had been for a while. The Japanese knew they were going to lose.
It's ALL speculation at this point. What was done, was done.
