Any of you Trump supporters starting to get nervous?

Unless something has changed, he's not pro life. And I'm not against immigration reform, but he doesn't really seem to want comprehensive reform. He's closer to an open borders type of guy.
I meant pro choice. Would you ever vote for a pro choice candidate?

He wants immigration reform and I’m for it. What we have now isn’t working. A wall won’t work. We need people coming here. That’s a fact.

Regardless, the guys is brilliant and I trust him to run this economy. That’s my top priority along with security.

That's possible. I would definitely rather have a businessman in there than a lawyer, but when you're that close to the top it worries me a little bit. Regardless, I have too many differences with him myself. Gun control is a real firm line with me. I think there are already too many laws on the books. It's our most important right as U.S. citizens.

Not enough gun laws

What about toe poppers?

The best way to control immigration is to make it impossible to get a job or subsidies without a Real ID. Then you throw businessmen in jail who employ people without real IDs, or you fine them some ridiculous amount. I'm guessing that would stop this crap real quick.

Depends on the candidate and exactly how far they would go. If I'm ok with the majority of their views, then I would consider it as long as they were ok with some restrictions on abortion. By that I mean no late term abortions, no federal funds being used, etc. If the only thing I disagreed with Bloomberg on was abortion, then I would definitely consider voting for him.

He wants amnesty. I'm not in favor of that at all. There should be restrictions and a process in place in order to stay instead of being deported.

That's the quickest way to turn into an authoritarian country.
There are 300 million guns in circulation now. No concerns about a tyranny. But I LOL at people who want guns to protect them from an Apache Helicopter or Drone Strike.

I just want reform. Mainly better understanding of who is getting a gun and stiffer penalties for those who sell/loan/or make guns accessible to nut jobs and criminals.

Immigration is what made this country great. It’s capitalism at work. We need laborers from these countries as much as we need highly skilled people. We need to make the vetting process much more efficient. There are easily 500k good paying construction jobs open in this country. We have work that needs to happen.

Your ID approach is novel but people will still find a way around it. Just like drugs or illegal gun ownership. So in light of that, we need to get good people here and legalized (taxed) and bad apples out.

How many Apaches are there? How many citizens? How long do you think it'll take the Apaches to get there while people are storming the gates? Do you think military personnel would fire on their own families? What if we were allowed to own Stingers? Would that change the situation?

As for your second point, we haven't been a capitalist country since at least 1913, probably even before that. Once you have a monetary system controlled by the banks, I think it's safe to say that you don't have real capitalism anymore.

Edit: Also, I believe you need a birth certificate or some proof that your a citizen to get your Real ID. It isn't like getting a regular driver's license.

Yup, 100%. And we can't be afraid to call a bad apple a bad apple, and get them the fvck out of the country, regardless of whether they happen to have kids living here or any other excuse.
It’s so hard to deport right now and it’s rife with fraud. My buddy works at PWC and they did some consulting on the deportation process. Private company contracts with government to handle it. They send illegals to centralized areas and then make 3-4 runs per day at something like $250k per trip. They found that these busses would have 2-3 illegals on each trip so they could run multiple trips throughout the day/week.

But we absolutely need immigrants for low and high tech jobs. It’s actually driving up the cost of things like construction and trade jobs because of scarcity. Try and get a plumber to come out on short notice. They are slammed 24/7. Contractors are crushing it and driving up build prices.

The idea that citizens could stop a government take over is absurd as the idea the government would do it. I’m not going to even entertain your questions because they are silly.

As for capitalistic remark, sure, there is no true capitalism. But it’s hard to argue we haven’t created a pretty good thing.

You seem to be drawn quite heavily to conspiracy type stuff.

People who are pro-life aren't limited to republicans.

The French just called.
The Germans just called.
The Russians just called.
Jean-Claude Van Damme just called. :D

I know. I was just saying that my problem with Republicans that aren't pro-choice, is that they aren't pro-choice.

I chuckle at the term "pro-life". As if "are you pro-life or not pro-life?" isn't a loaded question. Maybe the pro-choice crowd should change their moniker to "Pro-better life for the would be parents and the rest of society"

And how easy it is to get a gun too, right?
Well, it depends on what kind of "gun" you mean. Pawnbrokers have to go through an incredible amount of ID check and clearance. I don't think any of the guns/firearms coming and going through pawnshops are a huge problem. I was just commenting on how much money they generate.

Are you saying the French Revolution, the Third Reich, and the October Revolution are fake? We aren't talking about the moon landing here. These events actually happened!
The French Revolution was the people rising agains the government and mostly inspired by the American Revolution and absolutely rejecting Tyranny.

The rise of the Nazis was not the government overthrowing an entire country, but a small targeted population. The extermination of Jews had a lot more support than many would believe in the early part of the 20th century.

The rise of the Soviet Union was interesting. It was a fractured country after the end of WW1.

But non of those events can be compared to what we have today. Not even close.

You understand that these things don't just happen overnight, right? I don't want the protection of the 2nd Amendment because I'm immediately worried about my countries actions. I want it as a deterrent, just in case we need it down the line.

BTW, the NAZIs were the government plunging the country into tyranny. Just because not everyone was on board didn't mean it didn't happen. Besides, the government is the people.

I understand plenty well. You do you friend.

Here's your "ethical" man, Mueller at work.

OIG: Mueller's Office Scrubbed Strzok-Page Text Messages Before IG Could Review Them

Do you know what SOP is for these situations?

The special counsel’s records officer said that she had "determined it did not contain records that needed to be retained.” She wrote in her records log, "No substantive texts, notes or reminders,” the report states

Oh yeah, there's a major case being made to impeach the president, but the IG doesn't need to see the evidence in the case. Makes perfect sense.

Just an observation: since you first started posting here, the more you post the worse you come across. You may want to slow down a bit....

Remember what the National Guard did in Nawlins after Katrina? Joe might not shoot his family...but everyone else would have a problem.

You may not agree with him but he's just as entitled to voice his opinion as everyone else. And to be quite honest he's been more polite about it than some of those that have been here for years. Including me.

Again, I’m not advocating against guns at all. They have a place. I grew up with guns, I shoot them, I will own a Sig P229 and Remington pump in the very near future

Whoa big guy. I would be the very last person to ever say he shouldn't post here and I never even hinted that he should quit.
