I've got a Remington 870 Home Defense Wood. I carried a Mossberg 500 in Beirut quite a bit. Most of the time, actually.

My best friend used to have a sig. Said it was the best gun he's ever had. He's like a lot of you, he grew up with guns, his father was a mechanic and a machinist and could build them. I'm not a good old boy myself, but I've been around them my whole life which is why I know their capabilities.

Sorry, classes are over and I don't have much to do while I'm sending out my resume. I'm doing some cleaning around the house and going to the gym, but there just isn't a whole lot to do. I've got a Remington .45 R1 Stainless in a hideaway by the bed. Like Ticktet said, it just fits my hand but it's a little bigger than I like to carry. If I have to grab something quick in the middle of the night that's what I reach for but if I've got time to cross the room that 870 HD is a nightmare.

No kids at home and the grandkids can't get to anything yet so a bad guy is never going to hear mine rack.
It can certainly be a stress relief. I might need to go to the range soon with all the stress I have right now.
I'm with you Strum. I own a couple of guns and both are solely for home protection. I shoot and clean them once a year, but this is about it for me. I have shot lots of different weapons and hunted a few times, but it never entertained me at all.
However the people who like guns really love guns.

A friend of mine poasted a suicide note on Facebook and then killed himself last summer. It wasn't funny.
Do you know what the crazy part of all of this is? I wasn't going to make fun of suicide. I was going to post that listening to Nickelback gave me suicidal thoughts, but @prlyles had to make it something it wasn't, so I had to mess with him. I think it's pretty safe to say that I don't find the act of suicide amusing.
