Any of you Trump supporters starting to get nervous?

Mass military insurrection rarely happens. It didn’t happen in Nazi Germany, never happened in the Soviet Union. Hard to organize a rebellion when you don’t know who to trust and the penalty for treason is death.

Because it isn't commonplace means it can't happen? Who are you, the Czar of Russia?

Imagine trying to haze that guy as a prospect...

PREACH!

We took 30 tables and 240 chairs to their clubhouse for their Christmas party Sunday morning. They host a party for underprivileged kids every year. Funny thing is they don't actually buy the gifts, lol. The rest of us do. We get a name and an age and then we get to spend $50 on him/her. The NCO was taking care of the gifts this year.

But what happens when the powers that be don't allow you to implement that idea? I'm all for solving issues diplomatically, but sometimes that isn't possible. At that point, it's better to have guns.

Edit: BTW, the reason I want the threat to do physical damage isn't that I want to force my views on other people. It's because I don't want other people to enforce themselves upon my liberties.
I'm speaking, or referring, to a more... abstract understanding. An idea whose time has come is unstoppable.

Now, when you're talking about tyranny, or tyrannical entities, taking things by force, then, yeah, I guess having guns helps. I'm not totally sure how much it helps, but I'd rather the people have them than NOT have them, if put to it. Keep in mind, I am all for gun ownership... 100%. I don't blame guns for any tragedy, anymore than I blame physics for Hiroshima! But, we should be able to acknowledge the tragedies and problems and discuss solutions.

And, as has already been discussed, the idea that American citizens (or any citizens) resisting tyranny by using guns is archaic. Solving anything by use of destruction, or threat of violence, is archaic. I realize that humans love them some archaic shit, however. We're not that far removed from our primate ancestors, I guess. America isn't anywhere close to armed insurrection. If people can stream Hulu and have a Papa John's (or whatever comfort food) nearby, they're good to go.

Strum, I think I love you.

Again, broad statements. What is wrong with my post? Let me guess, you can't tell me. Lulz!
Go back and read the silly ass statement you made. Anything you can’t support you call a broad statement. When you throw out stupid stuff expect to get called out or stfu.

I'm not sure why you keep harping on this. I've never said that I don't agree with you. The only thing I disagree with is that you think you'll never need guns to change the world.

I don't care about getting called out, but you aren't doing that. In order to call someone out you need to tell them why they are wrong. Lobbing 3rd grade insults at people isn't going to get it done.

I'm so money in this thread!

I'm not "harping", just replying.

And, you're right, I don't think I'll ever need guns to change the world... for the better.

Insult? What are we supposed to call a post you make that makes no sense?

“The French government is having trouble controlling the people without guns. What do you think would be happenning right now if France had the amount of guns that the US does?”

Yeah, you disagree. I get that. It would be helpful if you enunciated why you disagree. Of course, you don't have to. You can keep making weak arguments. I don't really care. I'm just having fun throwing your and uncboy's tactics back at you.

You throw like a girl.

I had a thang for Susan back in the dey.
Most boys did. They were a bit before my time... I mean, I knew who they were, but I wouldn't come of age for another... 5-10 years. I was watching The Banana Splits and Mister Rogers Neighborhood when the Partridge Family were popular.

Actually, I had a cannon when I was playing ball. Of course my shoulder is wrecked now, so while the form may be there, the velocity most certainly is not.

Ooh I’ll get into a pissing contest about fastballs any day of the week

oh yeah! (and I see what you did there)...

I didn't throw in the 90's or anything, but I hosed my fair share of baserunners from behind the plate.

I topped out at 93 on the mound, and was around 1.7 to 1.8 on my pop time from behind the plate. Kinda sucks when guys stop running on you. Hosing a guy from behind the plate is the best feeling in baseball.
