I'm pissed . . Dr's appt. was cancelled due to the high winds. I'm now a racist fvck. 45 is still in the WH. The dayum UPS truck I've been cleaning for 2 days now was stolen. The Alexandria oyster bar is also closed today.

I'm sipping on a nice Cabernet while waiting for the Cardinals/Red Sox game to come on at 1pm.

Anybody drinking with me . . ?

Not trying to be nosey but what kind of Dr. appt would be affected by high wind??

It was a follow up from a annual physical, I forgot to fast a month back for some blood work. They called at 8:30 am to say the medical provider would not be in today and that I could take another Dr. I chose not to go and to reschedule . .

Federal Gov't office buildings here in DC Metro and every school system in this area are closed, trees are down creating power outages, it just wasn't worth the risk to me. We've had 60 mph wind gusts and 40+ sustained winds . .

Billy I'm usually here by 4:30 AM and I live about 45 miles away. Oh but I'm off for the next 3 days and every Friday night we host a bluegrass jam session at the clubhouse. Give me a couple of hours and I'll start catching up!

I get up at 3:15 and I'm usually out the door by 3:50. I have a couch and shower here in the office that I avail myself of when I'm here late. I usually crash here at least once a week.

I thought your workshift at Fort Bragg started at or around 7 am . . from that post of yours back on that snowstorm thread. You're up at 4:30 am . . ? Or am I just reading those poasts wrong . . man, Fridays are a long day for you are they not . . ?

Nope. I used to get here about 5 - 5:15 but they gave me some additional responsibilities that I handle between 4:30 and 5 nowadays. During the snowstorms they usually don't open the base until after sun up so I can't get on post until they allow us.
 
That looks as comfy as all can be, Jim . . a real sweet set-up there.

Power is still out here in Great Falls, which sucks. But we have a generator working, which is cool. But cable and internet is down as well, which sucks.

Watching the game with friends in Leesburg, tonight.

I've been w/o power since 3 pm yesterday. It may be we won't have restoration thru the wknd. Dayum this sux . .
 
Still down, the next door site says there are now 3 Dominion trucks at the back gate of Mr. Vernon where a tree has downed a power line. There's also a tree that has taken down a pole that may need some work done before the line can beBi restored. I Don't expect power back until tomorrow.
I'm glad you are back up ! The fireplace has been a blessing for me . . no T.V. for me tonite tho . . SUX.

Glad you have the fireplace. You and @Hark_The_Sound_2010 and @carolinablue34 and everybody else affected stay warm. Are you on your phone? Can you keep it charged? You could always do the old "follow a stat tracker because it's all I have" routine.

Thanks my man. We aren’t getting power back until Monday here in Mass. Won’t be able to watch the game.
