I tried but to me the Beatles are 1 , and Bowie is 1a; both were signicant artists in terms of their influence and body of work.

That's why it's tricky. Busta Rhymes and Bubba Sparxxx obviously aren't real names so you could easily make the case for them under B. But then technically Bob Dylan isn't his real name either so ...

i'm gonna say whats my fav from now on. i confess and do indeed recognize that what's "best" rarely coincides with what i like. I mean hell, beethoven or bach kicks everyone's ass. Well they're not really bands but YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN DAMMIT.

I don't include any country because it would simply be filling up the 'worst' list with all of them.

I haven't included composers either but love classical music. Beethoven is cliche but his music is just awesome. Bach is ok for me but doesn't come close to Beethoven.
