I love BBQ and in Greensboro , there is a place in the "Hood" that I like called Boss Hogs !As a take off of the Best Burger thread, what is the best BBQ in the state? I'm going with Skylight in Ayden or Wilber's in Goldsboro.
Stamey's in Greensboro has one location that still uses wood I believe.I try to go to the places who still cook with wood
This. I'm including Sam Jones and Skylight together.B’s and Sam Jones
Got a chance to try B’s last fall. Next on my list is Grady’s if I can catch them open

When we get tired of talking about BBQ, which I highly doubt will ever happen.how many times are we gonna do this same thread?
Maybe this will help:When we get tired of talking about BBQ, which I highly doubt will ever happen.
I don't think it's as bad as everyone makes it out to be, but it's dead last in types of barbecue sauce.Maybe this will help:
I had mustard-based sauce BBQ at Magnolia's in Charleston last weekend . . . . .
When in Rome, and all that. It actually wasn't bad. Kinda rich in taste.
Yeah, Bum's is good. Ayden is blessed with 2 great places.Weird, but I had thought to make this exact thread last night. Anyway, Grill below is correct. Bum’s in Ayden is prettt damn good too.
Until you get it right....how many times are we gonna do this same thread?
I grew up thereYeah, Bum's is good. Ayden is blessed with 2 great places.
I grew up there[/QUOTEIf I lived there I would weigh 300 lbs. I love both Bum's and Skylight. Bum's has the best sides of any BBQ place I've ever been
Agreed, as long as none of you were with me.This thread would make a great blueprint for a road trip

I’ve had the q from Bridges. It was pretty good stuff. We got some good stuff in Cleveland county!
Yep. Would you rather make a road trip out of the best BBQ in the state or the best burger in the state? Or just combine it all into one extended road trip! This thread would make a great blueprint for a road trip
What kind of BBQ do they make in VA?The OP didn't specify what state. In VA, here are the best I've patronized.
Three Little Pigs
http://threelilpigsbbq.com/ - the owner is a BIG Tar Heel fan, originally from NC.
Paulie's Pig Out
https://pauliespigout.com/ - On Afton Mountain, in the middle of no where. Bangin' cue.
The Silver Pig
http://www.silverpigbbq.com/ - the only gripe I have about this hole in the wall spot is that they chop the meat a little too fine for me. I prefer bigger chuncks/strands. But the sauce is special here.
And then lastly, my buddy used to own a butcher shop (Bedford Avenue Meat Shop). Some of you might remember I told the story of a friend of mine that died from a bizarre heart problem almost 3 years ago. He made the best BBQ I'd ever had. I miss my friend.

I don’t recall. It was located on 74, near the Cleveland Mall. Is one better than the other?Alston Bridges or Red Bridges?

Also, what’s the story here? Two brothers that couldn’t get along so they opened separate bbq joints?
