Birthday thread

This thread came about because of Billy's thread wishing one of our poasters a Happy Birthday. I poasted that today is my wife and one of my sons' birthdays as well. And our own Roy Williams. And as @UNC71-00 poasted, Jerry Garcia's too.

But I figured we could use this thread for all sorts of birthday talk. Wanna tell a funny story that happened on your birthday? This is the place to do it. Wanna tell us a super cool gift you got for your wife's last birthday, we'll do that here too.

My birthday is Feb 18. I share it with John Travolta (21 years older than me), Matt Dillon (11 years older), Dr. Dre (10 years older) and Molly Ringwald (7 years older). That's a pretty good foursome. Can anyone beat that?

I've never really been a big birthday guy. I'm not one of those people that has ever made big plans for my birthday. If big plans have ever been made, it's been my wife that's done it. I'm usually content to have my mom cook me a meal and get together with my family. My dad's birthday is 2 days after mine so we usually do a combined dinner kind of thing.

Nothing exciting has ever happened on my birthday, except for, you know, popping out of my mom's vagina and stuff. I guess that was exciting. My niece being born exactly 28 years later was kinda cool, I guess.

New Year's baby '54 here, born at 1:35 am . . Camp LeJeune, NC.
2nd kid born in that hospital that year . . mom still got a few gifts from some group commemorating the year's firstborns.
Dad was pissed that I was that close to being a tax deduction. His b-day is Christmas Day, so, we had a lot going on thru the holidays . .

I loved that I had all those great bowl games to watch on my birthday.

My wife's birthday was in July. One of the things I got her was some Kate Spade perfume she wanted. Apparently I had already gotten it for her at Christmas last year. So if anyone wants some Kate Spade perfume I'm your man.

I don't care much about my birthday either. The coolest thing about mine is that I was born about two weeks late and ended up sharing a birthday with my grandmother, who I was really close to.

We usually just end up going to Nashville and hanging out for a day around both of our birthdays.
