On this day in 1963 at 11:07 p.m., Air Force One with John F. Kennedy and the First Lady onboard lands at Carswell Air Force Base outside of Fort Worth, Texas. Air Force Two lands soon after carrying Vice President Lyndon Johnson and Texas Governor John Connally.

Earlier that evening Special Agent George Hickey, Jr., with the U.S. Secret Service arrives at Love Field in Dallas aboard a U.S. Air Force C 130 transport plane. Special Agent Samuel Kinney is with him and after landing they unload Secret Service cars 100X, the Presidential limousine, and 679X, the Secret Service detail limousine, in preparation for the motorcade the next day through the streets of Dallas en route to the Dallas Trade Mart where Kennedy will give a speech.

Not yet but when I do eventually go I will visit on this very date and laugh at all of the conspiracy nuts set up on the grassy knoll promoting their baseless theories.
I got to go a few years ago, and yeah those nutjobs were all over the place barking out their theories and selling DVDs, papers, etc. I was laughing at them as I walked by.

Should be called the Adams Doctrine, as it was written/conceived by then Secretary of State John Quincy Adams. Extremely influential statement by a very young United States that set the tone of the next 100 years in colonial rule.
