Richardson is a 6-foot, 185-pound safety from Buford, Ga. According to 247Sports, he is a 3-star, and the 54th best safety prospect in his class. Richardson had been committed to Tennessee since mid-October. He holds offers from several other schools, including Louisville, NC State, Vanderbilt and West Virginia.

He is the kind of player that schools with annual top rated classes sign and forget about, because they always sign more like him, but taller or faster or stronger. At UNC, he can compete knowing that he will be given every opportunity.
