Cam Whitmore OV Set For August 22

Boy if I had a Nichel for everytime a Tar Heel name got misspelled.....
I have some friends who are dook fans (please don’t hold that against me) and they give me the hardest time by saying that half of our fan base can’t even spell our name right. People spell it as one word instead of two. Tar Heels not tarheels. My kids always correct people who make that mistake now. Lol

OK, Mods - ban Heels5150 immediately. He's got friends in low places. Eww

What do you mean by "inferior product"?

Do you think coaches would put up with players that are not giving 100%? On paper, the Heels will have a pretty decent team this year. Dawson Garcia would have not signed with UNC if NIL was around. That's a pretty known fact around UNC.

NIL opportunities will keep borderline NBA prospects in college longer. Unless I'm missing something, NIL opportunities will improve the play in college because the better the player performs the more money he makes.

Incentives improve performance.

There was a time when the incentive was winning and the self gratification of competing at the highest level.

But again, I get it. Can’t base a legal judgement on such. But the product lessens not necessarily because of the play itself, but the investment of the individual players. The focus is on the marketing of the player instead of the competition itself. It may be a better product to you because guys can make 26 footers and get a bunch of likes on Instagram, but that doesn’t do it for me.

I'm not going to argue your logic, but I will refer to the famous quote my the legendary coach Vince Lombardi.."Winning is not everything, it's the only thing".

Bottom line, when the Heels win their next NCAA title and/or making a serious runs at titles in the coming years, I doubt many folks will be complaining about players making as much money as they can "legally". SMDH

Right, most people won’t complain because like the athletes themselves, most people are shallow and superficial.

Sorry, I’m a traditionalist. I like what I like.

I'm a traditionalist as well. I believe it is an honor to put on that Argyle and peeps should fall over themselves to sign up if they are given a chance! I think the Carolina Way is a lifestyle that should be adopted worldwide and it would solve many of the world's problems! I don't think this current issue, if managed properly, has to negatively impact either the play on the court or the way peeps represent our beloved U! Peeps can represent the values of the U; play proper team centered ball; AND market themselves off the court! I trust our staff to ensure we weed out those who can't! (Blue Glasses?)

I see you are one of the few who cannot figure out a word that has a letter out of place. I know it could be tough for some, I apologize for causing you such frustration.

There is a UNC recruit whose name is very similar to the misspelled one that has confused you, look up a list, and try to figure out who he is, it seems like you can have hours of fun trying. Good luck 👍
ooh my good natured ribbing hit a nerve. I remember it used to be a sin to spell a recruit's name wrong , cause it might cause them to go elsewhere..LOL

Lol, no problem at all, I tend to believe good natured ribbing always deserves some of the same back.

Unless it really was a problem for you to figure out, then I do apologize... 😆
