Hard to follow but this is a few mins of the second camp game. I have not seen a part 2 as of yet. I saw some place last night that Seth went for 26, don't know that for a fact however. On a really positive note at least to me, High does look like he has filled out a good bit more than when I last saw him.

As I said earlier, I didn't pay as much attention as usual, but here are a few comments from texts from someone I trust who was there. Take it as you will:

"zona kid [Veesaar] getting abused in the paint by Z and Luke""

"hubert better let Trimble play his game this year"

"man, stevensons still the same guy"

"right now this team has 3 dogs - seth, wilson and high"

"can the euro kid [Luka] play any point?"

Those texts make sense if they were based entirely on the 2nd camp game.

But in the 1st camp game Veesaar, Evans, and Powell all scored double figures; in addition to Trimble and Wilson.

In fact Powell scored double figures in both games IIRC.

They make sense regardless. He's seen more than the camp scrimmages, and was giving knowledgable insights as to the actual playing, not numbers on a score sheet.

But hey, if you want to argue with a free insight, knock yourself out.

Tell ya what --- before I step away from this place, putting camp games aside, here are some things about this team that should fill in the gaps:
- We brought in height, but it ain't the sort some fans expect. I watched a LOT of AZ. Veesaar is a Stretch --- always has been. I hope he gets more physical here but don't hold your breath.
- We brought in some nice transfer shooters --- Powell, Evans, Young --- but none are creators.
- Stevenson looks the part, but like my guy said, he's what he's always been. TBH, High is way TF better and plays like he means it.
- Wlison is exactly what I've been telling y'all he is, and damn good thing. He's got a lot of footwork issues to iron out, but If he ain't starting, somebody f***ed up. Kid ain't shy.
- Seth ain't gonna be confused with Steph Curry, but he indeed has some "dog" in him, that is, IF the staff doesn't spook him like they did last season. My guy is right --- let him play and attack.
- I hope Dixon grows up fast --- that would help.
- Luka's likely be the key. Assuming Hubert continues to let Jeff f*** up our Secondary, somebody will need to trigger some offense in the half court.

It was obviously a joke.

Seems like all you want to do is fight and insult people. Please don't talk to me anymore, and I'll do the same with you.
Riiight....
No, it was not a "joke" --- it was a purposly snide remark furthering your previous snide remarks.
I offered some insights --- you wanted to argue. OK, whatever, but the only one picking a "fight" in ITT would be you, and I invite anyone to read this thread for confirmation of that fact.

And thus, as June comes to an end, there we have it --- the sort of projection and reactionary douche-baggery that I definitely will NOT miss.

AMF.

Damn Gary/ Moe- you couldn't have picked a more fitting picture. You are uber knowledgeable and ive appreciated you but damn if you aren't a cantankerous, miserable SOB.

Yeah, I can buy those texts for the most part.

Veesaar will be a strong up grade but I have been trying to tel folks for how long now that we got height but we did not get physicality at the 5, we don't have that big ole strong banger. But folks were so transfixed on getting a shooter than they could see no other need, no matter how glaring it was.

Hubert needs to let Seth play to his strength, Hubert needs to let all our players play to their strengths and last season is a great example of what you get when you do not allow your players to play to their strengths unless their first name is RJ.

I am bending over backwards to try to embrace Jalin, love his defensive ability, do not love him as a 3pt shooter yet. I hope Hubert does not use him like he used JWit. I wanted JWit setting hard screens and coming off making a hard cut thru a passing lane for a strong finish, what I got was way to much 3pt shooting from the deep corner, please stop trying to make every power forward in to a Brady Manic clone.

I will give you Seth and Wilson are dawgs but I have to see a LOT more to not consider High still a puppy. I am higher than most on Powell, LOVE his defense and deadly 3pt shooting, hope his handle can improve to the point that he can drive some, he may well be our 3rd dawg.

I wonder the very same with Luca, can he play the point, if he can and I see him as maybe able to, could be game changing to have both he and Evans.

Many, if not most of us have called for a physical big to back up Henri, there just weren't any left in our price range. It wasn't ever an "either/or" thing with the shooter (which I do believe was a greater need).

I think there was a thread on it but I haven't heard of anyone actually has a solid idea on when Luka will join the team? He's missing some invaluable messing/bonding time with his new mates.

Yet NC St loses their monster big man and the next day they snag a big fella from Wyoming for bargain basement price tag. I would LOVE for us to snag the big man that left the wuffs but rumor is they lost him over grades, if he can't get thru NC St admissions there is no way he would get thru ours (he could maybe make it thru dule's admin, fake Harvard doesn't really care about grades if you can play)! LOL

On Luka, I don't have confirmation that he has yet made it thru admissions.l A lot of these Euro guys have got hung up in different schools admissions. This could be the reason he is not here yet.

I want (and expect) Veesaar to be a clear upgrade. I did not see that in this video clip. It was just a pickup game, so I'm not worried. Still, it would have been nice to see him looking dominant.

Not long ago these guys wouldn't have been eligible (or would have had to sit out for a while) because they played pro ball in Europe. Is that concern totally gone now, or could there be some sitting out before Luka can suit up?

I think the alums consisted of Maye, Zeller, cam Johnson, Tokoto, J Jackson, and I think 55 was Christain Keeling! Pretty solid alumni lineup! Wilson and Trimble looked like 2of the best if not best on the court! It’s hard to take much from these but High, Wilson, Powell, Trimble all looked pretty solid! Vessar had a few decent plays, and Denis did too! Wilson is so athletic and is going to be fun to watch! Evans didn’t do much and Young’s shot looks super flat! Stevenson’s shot actually looks pretty good but he didn’t do much besides a 3! It’ll be interesting to see how this team gels together

Thanks for taking a stab at it. Putting numbers to the players is tough. Partly because I can't see faces well enough to be sure who is who, complicated by the fact that several players sported the same number.

Here's a list using all your names and a couple more I thought I saw, with guesses at the numbers

I HOPE OTHERS WILL CORRECT THESE AND ADD TO THEM BECAUSE THERE ARE BOUND TO BE MISTAKES

BLUE TEAM

32 Luke Maye
21 Tyler Zeller
14 Kenny Williams
3 JP Tokoto
15 Garrison Brooks
2 Isaiah Denis (or Derrick Dixon, maybe?)
9 Caleb Wilson
55 Christian Keeling
21 Justin Jackson (yes, there were 2 #21s)
13 Cam Johnson

WHITE TEAM

3 Henri Veesaar
3 James Brown (yes, there were 2 #3s)
1 Zayden High
1 Jonathan Powell
1 Jaydon Young (yes, there were 3 #1s) may
7 Seth Trimble
25 Kyrie Evans
5 Jarin Stevenson
15 ?
