I hate it for them. Louisville fans are really good people & I feel for them, especially considering the amount of crap they’re going to hear from the other team in Ky.
Still think the penalties are way too severe.
I bet Dan Kane will take down the banner for UL, he’s been dying to pull one down.
Wow! Did not expect this. Wonder if it's the NCAA trying to put out a tough front in face of all the recent negative publicity surrounding the FBI investigation?
So what happens if they don't take down the banner? If there are no penalties then I'm leaving it up if I'm UL.
Agree with that just like I think Michigan should.put their banners back upSo what happens if they don't take down the banner? If there are no penalties then I'm leaving it up if I'm UL.
I agree. Allowing them to keep the NC is allowing them to reap the benefits of ill-gotten gains.I think is does a great deal to loyal fans. Imagine walking into the DES and only seeing 6 Natty Banners; it would hurt every time I looked up at the gaping hole! It tarnishes your legacy forever, but it doesn't take away the hard fought wins it took to get the banner!
Absolutely. I'm guessing they can't hang a banner that has the NCAA logo on it, or anything that says "NCAA", but that's pretty easy to get around. If I were them, I'd take down the banner (if there's NCAA referenced), and then put one up that's 5 times the size that just says "2013 National Champions".So what happens if they don't take down the banner? If there are no penalties then I'm leaving it up if I'm UL.
Wiki has already changed it to Michigan. I looked under the ncaa 2013 men's basketball tournament.
If they’re upset with UNC, they can get over it. UNC didn’t break any rules. Don’t act like the ncaa turned a blind eye towards us.1. It's pretty dumb to say it should go to Michigan by default. It shouldn't.
2. We are probably not Louisville's favorite school today. A lot of their fans are pretty pissed that their title is now vacated while we get to keep ours (you can't blame them for being pissed at how both our situations turned out, to be honest).
I mean yeah, I agree with you. But it's not exactly hard to see why they would feel they've been hard done by, given the juxtaposition of the results (not the facts) in our outcome vs their outcome. If they’re upset with UNC, they can get over it. UNC didn’t break any rules. Don’t act like the ncaa turned a blind eye towards us.
The problem with just handing the title to Michigan is what about the teams Louisville beat to get to the title game, maybe had one of those teams not had to play Louisville they would have beat Michigan?
