Behind 2 SR's on the depth chart. He lost a lot of weight and has been putting in the work. Just behind two experienced guys right now but will get a lot of reps this season.

31 carries and -2 yards rushing and 9 sacks…If we play like that on D people will have problems..
Either lil carolina is going to win three games this year or our D has taken a huge leap forward.

Weren't we missing a couple of guys in the secondary who are expected to play many minutes and perhaps start?
On offense, we were missing the 2 WRs that have been expected to be the best on the team. If we get an upgrade with them at WR, then the passing game is going to open up even more.
If this team can avoid the injury bug and learn from the mistakes of the opener, it can be in the running for the ACC Championship Game. It can be done.
Missing one in the secondary, Boykins, who is out for the season. Huzzie took his spot at the Star position. They'll have to figure out how to navigate the loss of Boykins as I imagine they'll experiment with a few different lineups as the season progresses.
To be fair the WR for little Carolina will be playing on Sunday..Dude is a beast…He had 177 yards by himself….
Will Hardy and Antavious Lane didn't play. I guess there is teeny hope they could make safety a little more impactful overall.
Our corners at least looked mostly in-phase. I just wish we'd mix-in some press coverage... so much room still given up every single snap.

DB's are always going to look good when you're getting constant pressure rather than having to cover 5+ seconds. Like the former Bama QB said during the game, playing so off when the DL was getting constant pressure didn't make much sense. Was good to see something other than a bull rush being displayed by the DL, very encouraging.
i expect, or hope, this will change…maybe the staff needed confidence vs a team like scarolina.
but it does wonders for a defense if the front doesn’t give the corners over four seconds…i need to watch again, but it seemed rattler was more dangerous on broken plays or scrambles…that sucks for the secondary.
