I was kind of hoping for overtime, but I guess I'll settle for a win. ;-)

Not sure how they won. They fought hard but are poorly coached. I still think Hubert needs to go end of this season. Especially with who will be on this team next season
Give Ian Jackson and Drake Powell more minutes and live with their freshmen mistakes
The problem is our big men have so many mistakes, our perimeter players need to play mistake free ball.
They won because UCLA missed free throws. Jalen Washington being a weakling benefited us with his fouls.
Let's not forget to thank UCLA for their free throw misses down the stretch. Washington personally gave them 8 free throws, and they just kept missing.
He probably got himself an extra year just with this win alone lol.

WE were 24-35 at the free throw line, meaning we missed 11. UCLA was 13-22 from the line, means they missed 9. Yet Jalen was the problem because he fouled? REALLY? LOL The ESPN box score does not show me how many minutes Jalen played, I suspect it was less than double digit minutes yet the narrative that was being set up is to blame Jalen for this loss and when that didn't work blame him any way because they could have made those they missed? How the heck you could watch this game and your only thoughts is Jalen fouling boggles the mind.
I don't mind at all anyone saying that Jalen is playing poorly right now, I think he is as well but to much of this is a preconceived thought to magnify anything the kid does as overly negative as opposed to calling the balls and strikes as they are. I suppose the gets zero credit for grabbing 4 boards, 1 less than the highest rebound total for us (Drake snagged 5) in his very limited minutes. I supposed Jalen gets no credit for the huge offensive board stick back at a critical portion of this game?

I know 2DD but man it gets old after a while! LOL I mean geez, just call the balls and strikes as they are no matter if that is what you want or not.
That last defensive stand by Cadeau was amazing. Didn't shy away from aggressiveness of the mismatch, stayed in his space, and did all he could to prevent an easy shot
and jackson still not starting. play our best 5 and stop trying to pretend our awful 3 bigs are worth starting at all.
You might want to go back and watch the game because you obviously missed it the first time. Jalen being a total mess on defense led to free throws for UCLA repeatedly because they were in the bonus. Luckily they missed them so it actually benefited us. If you want to focus on the 1 play he made worth a damn then go ahead. The fact remains he got his shit pushed in every time he was on the floor.
