Coaches can't trash players and can't trash their position coaches. They optionally can be forthcoming and give fans interesting insight, trash themselves, etc AND they can optionally just say anything the media wants to hear. I think Fed does a lot of the latter.
Fed says "we're a shotgun team", but vs miami we went under center goal-line 4th, and vs Louisville we even went under center goal-line with an extra tackle and we scored (though it was a roll-out pass to the TE). I think people try to parse too much meaning from ANY of Fed's words. He is so coy regarding injuries that i bet he'd be coy in pressers too.
