Colby White Shines At NC Top 80 Camp

If Preston could be Luke at 6'10"-6'11" by his second year here I am all for it! Wouldn't we be having entirely different conversations about Luke if he was 3-4 inches taller and a little more athletic? (I'm talking about the rational conversations here)

Black and White are an exciting combo and I love how active they are in recruiting some support! Roy can really pick 'em! Two wings/combos/PGs that can shoot, score, finish at the rim, and distribute the ball will be very hard to guard!

Do you think he could develop into an ACC caliber post player then? I know nothing other than a blurb and his posted measurables. I like when we have a few NC boys on the team even it they are "glue" guys!

We won't have room for a guy as low as Preston in 2018 with the way this class is shaping up.

2 recruits already committed, looking real good for Hamilton, Langford giving us a ton of love. We need bigs that can step in right away.

I agree.
But Preston's "ceiling" is Mid-Major in my opinion. At least right now.

Not saying he can't take off over the summer and next fall, but that would take a huge leap.

At the risk of losing a top 50 recruit? No thanks.

I disagree. Capel and Forte did not get along well, but the problem was MD enabling Forte's already prima-donna attitude! 1999 in his freshman year he had a SR Ed Cota (a strong and vocal leader) leading the team and Guthridge keeping up the traditions of DES. 2000- our PGs were Morrison and Boone (FR) who never learned to be leaders and Matt D as coach who turned his back on every tradition UNC had built over the years. Capel was a Jr. and would have been a leader if allowed and Haywood was a Sr but was a quiet leader at best. Forte played hero ball and froze out his teammates, especially Capel. Capel tried to stand up for the team, himself, and UNC traditions, but Forte (due to MD's tacit approval) just wouldn't adjust!

I make it a policy to not talk bad about UNC peeps, but I also can't watch Capel dragged through the mud if I believe it is unfair!

Didn't Forte punch or take a swing at a FB player during or after a pick up game? I could swear I remember that.

OMG that 2000-01 team used to drive me bonkers! Way too many offensive possessions were let's stand around for 30 seconds and then give the ball to Forte.
