One can only hope.Maybe that trend will make future recruits think twice.
dook was 10-33 from long distance. That tells the tale as they still live and die by the three. Bolden, DeLaurier, and Jeter rode the pine all night long, not a minute of play time.

As can Roy, but their success earns them that right I guess. To be fair, Jeter is hurt and can't play.......but your point still remains. Bolden should def be playing. Duke fans will always hate that K doesn't sub more and UNC fans will always complain about Roy subbing too much at times. K can be really stubborn when it comes to certain things and sometimes it's to our demise.
Guess they expanded seating in the Dennard Memorial seat 14-15 places down from LOM.dook was 10-33 from long distance. That tells the tale as they still live and die by the three. Bolden, DeLaurier, and Jeter rode the pine all night long, not a minute of play time.

IDK that you find a lot of Tar Heels that complain about Roy using his depth as he does, we seem to be to obsessed with Roy holding on to his TOs than anything else. Archer, your math is a little off. All of those guys have several DNP, so they are averaging way less than 30 MPG. But your point that Luke Maye is more utilized this year than those 3 combined is absolutely true. In fact, factoring in the DNPs those numbers all go way down.Only a 5* center ranked 16th in the country by Rivals coming out of high school. I did a comparison about a month ago that showed Luke's numbers compared to those of Jeter, Bolden, and DeLaurier combined. That's one 3* vs two 5*'s and a 4*. Here are the latest stats.
Luke: 13.9 MPG, 5.2 PPG, 3.8 RPG
J/B/D: 30.5 MPG, 6.4 PPG, 6.2 RPG
Just demonstrates once again how much better Roy develops and utilizes his bench.
Correct.IDK that you find a lot of Tar Heels that complain about Roy using his depth as he does, we seem to be to obsessed with Roy holding on to his TOs than anything else. LOL
Correct again, and I agree about shortening Nate's PT completely.I think you will find a lot more duke fans that would prefer K to play his bench more than you will find UNC fans wanting Roy to shorten his. Now you will see UNC fans that would prefer specific players to get less PT but that is more about the specific player than it is about using depth properly. For example, I personally would prefer less Nate but my less Nate equals more BRob or 7th Woods now that Kenny is out.
They have the deepest, most talented front line in the country, yet K won't play them. Instead, Tatum and Jones play all 40 minutes against Syracuse and Kennard plays 37. Even if Jeter is hurt, DeLaurier and especially Bolden would be getting major burn on most teams. Is Jeter out for the season because he sure has not played much since Giles & Tatum returned ? Bolden, got how many minutes last night, how about Deloraur? It is weird, going in to this season it looked like once duke got everyone healthy that you would have a really solid long and big front court that was more talented than either FSU or LVille. And here we are deep in the season, all or at least most of your players are healthy and you run a bunch of 3 guard looks and strand 2 five stars and a 4 star front court guy on the bench and even Giles is not getting much time so that is a 3rd 5 star?
True, they have missed several games, just how many due to injury and how many due to the coach's decision not to play them is debatable. Lets' look at it from a more accurate perspective, something that I think demonstrates my point even better.Archer, your math is a little off. I'll bet you are. I'll also bet those players their parents are frustrated as well. Many of us are frustrated that Bolden in particular, and probably Javin, aren't playing more. Jeter has been hurt (back surgery) and wasn't very good before that. I know that's a favorite talking point, but he has just not been as good as his * rating. A case could be argued that he wasn't developed. If you've seen him play, it's hard to make the case that he should be playing.
As I said, your point stands though. Of the 4 guys you list, Maye is certainly the only current overachiever.
I agree. I think it's more of people having an issue with some of the unusual line ups he has out there at times when using that depth. Not necessarily playing as many people as he does. In his defense, he cuts back on that as the season progresses so it doesn't bother me.IDK that you find a lot of Tar Heels that complain about Roy using his depth as he does

Yet bigs will continue to commit there for whatever reason. Take notice Mr. Bamba
Damn... how did Duke lose if the refs were so obviously calling everything in their favor?
