I Normally do not make a big deal about the refs BUT tonight was a DISGRACE just a disgrace. Touch foul after touch foul... that kid Vestur is the second coming of Allen from Dook This team is NOWHERE near us without the refs... Sorry, blast me all you want but it was a joke just a JOKE watching this game. Brey is a doochie and he learned from the master teacher of flopping and flailing. The FT differential was THE key factor in the game pure and simple .Did not realize we would have to play with dook officials tonight.

The refs were honesty horseshit but we did plenty to help ourselves lose. The missed rebounds and careless turn overs and not killing the game off when up 15. Justin dunking that stupid missed layup would have changed everything in a game that tight.

The refs calling everything can affect your overall play. You almost HAVE to play 'soft' if you're not being allowed to play hard.

When was the last time a team attempted 38.......THIRTY EIGHT FTS against us???? Please ,the refs were abysmal and kept them in the game .We made our share of mistakes but good God almighty watch the frigging game. The PLAYERS were so pissed, even Marcus who normally is low key could not take it

Yeah it was really atrocious at some points, when the Vastorius kid tripped over his own feet and shot it up for an and one it was ridiculous. Can't get over how bad that call was, on the replay you could actually see that Meeks actually got out of it way and Marcus was nowhere near him. Plus the charge called against us and not the other way.

In the last two games Vs ND they have shot 70 ...SEVENTY Fts and we have shot 29

I thought the worse call was the Hicks "foul" just inside the FT line when his player dribbled at him and then took a fade away shot while Hicks stood still with his hands up until Vastoruis tripped over his feet on his lay-up and made his shot. He even laughed all the way to the bench.

If you are gonna call every touch foul on one team , call them on the other too. Consistency is always the key word. These refs forgot about that

Players these days drive into contact. Sometimes it is called and sometimes it isn't. We don't do that so much. We do it to create space at times, which is the way I was taught. We don't do it to draw a foul though. It's kind of bush league but is just the way the game is played today. However, we have serious issues stopping dribble penetration and can not defend ball screens at all. Those are the two biggest reasons for our foul issues and not the officials themselves. Refs in general are below average in college basketball though. They don't understand advantage/disadvantage and contact initiation like NBA refs. They need to go to full time refs but probably can't afford it because of the number of teams that play.

Possibly. Roy went zone and they hit a three so that was enough for him considering how he feels about zone.

Tired of people bitching about the whistles. Too much softness with this group. Can they turn it around? Sure. But it doesn't look good. Makes you wonder if some of these guys moving on and getting some fresh blood in will be needed for the mental makeup of the younger guys going forward.

This isn't 2009 when guys would take a game here or there off defensively and flip the switch when needed. This isn't 2005 with enough talent and toughness that just needs to learn to play together. This is a group where 3 of the starting 5 have been so inconsistent with their motors for their entire careers. Joel James is plug in big for tight spots of foul trouble. Roy needs to cut down the rotation to 8 guys and stick with it. Right now his rotations suck and guys like Maye , Williams , and James don't deserve more then 3-5 min of emergency duty at best on any given night. Those guys aren't ready to contribute to a NATTY contending team. Though you can argue UNC doesn't deserve that distinction and maybe that is why they play?

Ever since the scandal broke Carolina has been getting hosed by the officials. No way is the NCAA going to let Carolina lift a trophy at the ACC tournament or the NCAA tournament with the investigation going on. It's a PR nightmare for the NCAA. Can you imagine the outrage in the college basketball world if Carolina is holding the trophy on Monday night. It's never going to happen because the NCAA won't let it happen. No other team in college basketball gets officiated like Carolina does.

John Swoffords needs to be fired. Officials have tried to screw UNC in football and basketball the last few years and it is fairly obvious. Still could have won last night with better play, but if refs called a consistent game, UNC wins by 10. What a joke.
