I know I won't be available Labor Day weekend but if you get to a spot where you need 1 to make it even I would be up to taking a chance on computer drafting for me
Got a lot of people talking a big game, but only three people have actually signed up. Money has yet to be decided. I don't want that to be a deterrent, so if someone doesn't want to do it we can have a side pool with those that do.
Kinda hard to do side pool unless it is regular season champ, which I would be cool with.
I will play if you need me and will register this weekend.
What did we decide about survival pool?
I don't feel like reading through this whole thread.

It's a lot of fun! You should play! I think it makes the NFL season that much more enjoyable. You have to be interested in players you normally don't care about. Fantasy sports has actually helped me know more about players that aren't on my favorite team.
I just signed up, there are only 7 people so far. Looks like it's free. Draft is schedule for Sunday Sept 4th at 2 PM

3. Free to join. If everyone agrees to bet, we can determine amount before draft. If people do not want to bet we can do a side pool with those that do.

I'll be looking forward to the motion to add Referees and Cheerleaders to the fantasy teams - because people have been focused on just the offense and defense for too long.

I'm not gonna be able to draft on 9/4 as scheduled. Got roped into some plans that day that I'm not crazy about - but can't really get out of.
If it gets rescheduled to a weeknight, or Saturday (probably morning due to the UNC game later), or whenever I'd be in. If I end up being the only one that needs it changed and it works for everyone else as scheduled - I'm fine heckling all your teams from the sidelines.

You can always set it to auto draft. That's actually the best way to do it (assuming money is not involved) because you are in a no lose situation. If your team sucks then you blame it on the computer. If you make multiple trades/pick ups and finish near the top then you can brag about how awesome you were even though you didn't participate in the draft.

Good idea. I've always wondered how well a team would do with 16 punters on the roster.
I was in a league once where we drafted punters. It was the worst. They didn't score for anything. That league was seriously the worst, I'm not making this up, we had to start 2 QB's, 3 RB's, 3 WR's, 2 TE's, 2 Flex, 1 Team D/ST, 2 DT's, 2 DE's, 3 LB's, 2 DL/LB's, 2 CB's, 2 S's, 2 CB/S's, 1 K, and 1 P. Plus, the draft was an autodraft for the entire league. After 1 year, I bailed on that sucker.
I was hoping we'd end up doing it for some amount of money. If not - I'm fine autodrafting, and then blaming my roster with 3 QBs, 3 TEs and 5 injured/suspended players on that.
I do really wanna be a part of it - so if the draft time sticks and it's for money, I'll find a way to draft during the baptism I'm gonna be at. I'm pretty sure I'm already going to hell for the CDP contest - so I might as well get my money's worth at this point.

It's amazing how sketch some leagues are. The worst things I've seen are:
1) A commish added a team to fill the league under his wife's name and "she" cut a starting RB who was injured but only out a couple weeks. Guess who had the first waiver priority?
2) A commish decided to go from 10 to 12 really late and lost two long time players in the process. He scrambled and again added a couple of wives and then put all 4 new teams in the same division with himself.
3) A commish started a 12 team keeper league and changed it to 20 teams in year two without throwing back all the keepers. Pretty sure everyone walked away immediately.
