@heelz2345 @Raising Heel @anybody else that's a part of this crap

I'm in. I was initially listed as Richard's Team but I have since changed it to Honkey Kong.

I don't feel like looking for it myself so could someone tell me which poast has the details for the draft please? Is that tonight?

The draft is tonight, begins at 7:45

How does that work? I have only ever done real drafts where all of us are sitting in the same room and we have a big board and all that. I guess we're all sitting at the computer and make picks in order? Where am I slotted? How long do we have for picks? Thanks.

Log into the league before the draft starts (I usually arrive about 15 minutes before it starts) and click "Enter the Draft." It's pretty self-explanatory from there.

Basically yeah, it's all of us sitting at our computer making picks. About half an hour before the draft you can go to the league page and it will say "drafting now" and you click that and it will take you to the draft lobby. Then, once the draft begins, it'll go through the order, then reverse order for even rounds. As of now, it looks like the draft order is randomized once the draft lobby opens, so no one knows their slot. Also, I'm not sure how long per pick, whoever made the league should know that.

i picked 11th last week in this $$ league...first time in almost 20 years picking that late...i completely lost my train of thought by the 6th pick, that when it got to me, i just froze.

I like having a pick toward the end of the first round. Gives me two close together. My other two leagues this year I had the 8th in a 12 man league and the 9th in a 10 man league. So I was able to get Adrian Peterson/Jordy Nelson, and Ezekiel Elliott/Rob Gronkowski respectively.

I usually will only entertain a 10 man league. 12 is too many and anything above that is absurd. But here at OOTB, we are theater of the absurd so I decided to make an exception. But in a 10 man league, the 10th spot is the best spot. I've had the 10th pick 2 out of the last 6 years. I won the league one of those years and finished 2nd the other time. I love the back-to-back picks as well.

Alright, I guess. But if this shit takes more than an hour, I will probably check out and just let the system make the pick for me. How much is this going to cost me? Shouldn't @UNC '92 have to pay my entry fee because of the ruckus he's caused by dropping out? Should we put that to a vote?

Oh Jesus...Strum is playing? As long as he promises to not use the message board function for any of his idiot shit, I can handle it. If I have to read any of his nonsensical drivel, I'm out and I'll make sure that @UNC '92 never pays my entry fee.

I agree, I don't like more than 12 but that's not gonna happen. Classic OOTB

Before you guys start bitching about the first pick, it is decided by a computer randomly. I don't decide the order.

Drafted 2 suspended players. Beat that, suckas.

Thanks for setting the league up and getting everything organized. Should drop a kudos for Yahoo -- spent first half of the draft reading to a 3 year old to get her to bed with the phone in my other hand. Would have been a disaster a few years ago before these apps were developed.

So I got Gronk and Reed... I'm open for business for whoever got F'ed out of a TE.
I'd love to have Reed! I was trying to get him, but I think you were just ahead of me. I was pleased over all with my whole draft. I'm not as familiar with the good NFL running backs. I went with a Yahoo! suggestion in my 1st round and got Ezekiel from Dallas. That seemed like a long shot to me.

Who is IMO????? on there? The one that wants me to trade my QB and some other one for four cats I have no idea who they are???? I don't like to trade unless it is for Torrey Smith. o_O:confused::D:p

That'd be me. And the QB wasn't really my interest, it was more the "other one". I was merely trying to throw you a bone and give you a starting RB - as the 3 RBs you have on your team are all 3rd string in real life and you'll be lucky to get 5 points collectively from them in a given week. And throw you another bone by giving you a TE that wasn't on IR, so you could start someone that would actually play at TE. The trade is projected to give you an additional 96 points over the course of the season (if you look at the "evaluate trade" option it gives you the projected change in points due to the trade), but please excuse me for not realizing you hadn't heard of half the league, and therefore aren't interested in them.

I struggle with having the Dallas Cowboy's RB as my 1st-string RB... because I HATE THE DALLAS COWBOYS!

E.Elliot is hyped for good reason, but there's ton to be concerned with, especially with so many of the projections having him as the top RB, as a rookie. You're dependent on Dak Prescott having a monster year, also as a rookie. If he struggles, defenses will crowd the box and further limit Elliot's production. Not to mention that RB's are not as highly valued as they used to be.

He should be a decent back, but I cringe thinking of taking ANY RB in the first round anymore, much less a rookie in a very unknown situation with Dallas' QBs.

True, but it's better than those people who took a QB in the first round.

Good try. I'm a believer in "best player available"...I'll never over reach for a WR just b/c there are more slots to fill.

We'll see how that pans out :)
