Am I correct in thinking that the rules change this coming season such that teams can have 15 players on scholarship?
At the same time, lots of schools have responded to the portal era by having fewer players on scholarship.
How is this going to work out - in general and for UNC in particular?
The obvious first thought is if you load up, lots of players won't be happy with their PT. Meaning you would have paid them, trained them, and warehoused them for a year . . . and then they leave.
Assuming you have the money and the staff to work with them, is that necessarily a bad thing? After a year, you'll know which few are worth keeping. The downside, of course, is that some who are worth keeping may have become demoralized in that time, and won't stay even though it's their time to shine.
And then there's something about partial scholarships. What's that?
Plus we can hire more coaching staff, too, is that correct? If so who should we add?
