The deviled egg thread got me thinking. Theres a few things i just dont like that others love.

Green bean casserole. Hate it. Makes me gag. I Like all the ingredients separately or in other dishes. But for reasons i dont know i cant stand even the sight of it.

Soups. Most all of them. I dont hate them like gb casserole but given the choice i NEVER choose to eat it and aside from seafood chowder never ever prepare it or eat it at home.

Nuts. I like to snack on them (twss) but i cant stand them in food. Like on a salad especially. Almonds on green beans is just stupid.

Bonus segment: condiments

Catsup. Why put ice cold sweetened tomato puree on hot food? Overrated.

Mustard. Dont own any. Overpowers anything u put it on.

Sweet relish. Why does this even exist?

I eat just about everything, but here's a few I have major problems with.

Cannot stand, period...

Cashews
Celery
Marshmellows

Iffy...

Carrots...hate'em raw, love'em cooked
Mushrooms...eat'em raw, hate'em cooked

I'm the only one in the family that eats...

Cottage Cheese

Other than sea trash, guacamole is the only thing I can think of. People seem to love the stuff, but I can't get over the fact that it's green mush. I can't do it.

I can't stand canned vegetables. I'm not a big vegetable person to begin with and when you put them in a can I just can't do it. I think it goes back to me growing up on a farm. My grandmother had a garden that had peas, beans, corn, etc. Eating something that was literally straight from the garden is so much better than canned mush.

Oreo cookies. Pies, basically any kind except pecan and don't love those.

Bananas.

I'll join heelbent in disliking cashews and marshmallows as well, which includes smores.

Seafood
Any kind of premade ‘salad’ such as potatoe, chicken, tuna, pasta, slaw. Basically anything other than a sandwich that contains mayo or salad dressing.
Pickles
Sour Cream
Tacos

There's hardly anything that I won't eat . . I love almost all the veggies & fruits, and all the meats.

I also love seafood, but, if, clams are available, they'll be the last thing I put on my plate . . I'll eat them, but, I'm not that fond of 'em.

Oreo cookies.

I hate collard greens. I mean, I abhor the stuff. I'd rather eat dirt.

I'll ride with you on this. I don't eat ketchup, period. I have a theory that anything you love and consume en masse as a young child (7 or younger)... you grow to hate that food item later in life. Thus, these three things that most people love, I gorged on as a kid and now I hate them as an adult:

- Ketchup
- Raisins
- Marshmellows

All the other stuff I dislike doesn't qualify as "things most everyone else likes" such as sprouts. Do olives and broccoli count? If so, I don't like those either. Like @tarheel0910 I'm not a huge vegetable person, but I'll still eat a large variety of vegetables, some alone, some as part of a dish -- green peppers, red peppers, onions, cucumbers, pickles, carrots, celery, banana peppers, jalapenos, tomatoes, etc.

Cranberry sauce, oysters, coconut, navy beans, stewed tomatoes, fish sticks, salmon patties, fish stew, boiled peanuts (sorry @JuleZ '02 HEEL; btw, my wife loves them), root beer

Lol, dammit.
Interesting note about tomatoes being a fruit. None other than the United States Supreme Court issued a legal opinion that tomatoes are a vegetable because people are too dumb to know they are a fruit. So, in a court of law tomatoes are vegetables. In the real and accurate world, they are a fruit.

Chicken - I largely dislike it because of having to prepare it. It's all slimy, gristly and just gross. I mean, I'll eat it, but not that often.

coffee - I love the smell and the taste of coffee. But drinking hot drinks is weird to me. I drink to be refreshed. Why would I want to sit around and sip on scalding hot liquid. I've gotten in to cold brew lately.

birthday cake - if disgusting. That icing is not meant for human consumption.

That's about it. There are certain foods I don't prefer, but I'll eat them when I have limited choices.

Keep reading through this thread and haven't seen anything yet I wouldn't eat. Obviously like some more than others, but man I guess I just like food.

And boiled peanuts are great. It's fine if y'all weirdos don't like 'em; more for me at the tailgate.

Not much I can’t stand but I’ll give it a shot:

Don’t care for cooked carrots. I can eat them raw all day, but cooked - don’t like them

Root beer. Not necessarily a “food” but I don’t like it

Boiled peanuts are, well, not pleasant. Slimy and not really appealing. Love me some roasted peanuts though

Chitlins. Never tried them. Never will

Aside from that, I can’t really think of anything else

Chocolate
Coffee (I know, not a food)
Mushrooms
Pickles (or anything with white vinegar)
Pickled Beets (though I'm not sure "everybody else" likes them?)

I don't get the boiled peanut thing either. Regular salted peanuts are much better.
At Keenan one fine Saturday years ago, I mistakenly bought some boiled peanuts, thinking I was getting good ol’ roasted peanuts (wasn’t paying attention - could’ve been the alcohol). Anyways, I was hungry so I tried them... and they are about the most disgusting thing I’ve ever eaten.

I'm somewhat with you here. I always go with iced (or cold brew). I never drink hot coffee unless it's my only option - as in, there's not even any ice cubes available to put into the hot coffee.

Just when you think you know a feller.
It's weird. I have two brothers and they can eat their weight in oysters, even raw. My mother made me eat them prepared several ways, never raw, but I HATED them. I don't know what it is and I wish I liked them because I know a bunch of people who will travel miles to go to a good oyster bar, but I'll have to pass.
